  3. It’s exactly right, of course. Look at how fast the army was able to stop the riot in Chicago. It’s amazing how fast a mob will lose it’s will to fight when they’re facing down a machine gun, with its gunner told to ‘shoot to kill.’

  5. Daniel Hannan has it right and so does a former British parliamentarian named John Browne who was a guest on Neil Cavuto’s show on Fox News this morning. Browne said liberal socialism has brought Britain to this.

  6. I recall an anecdote from an associate….a career Marine.
    During the LA riots the Governor called out the National Guard—with orders to carry NO AMMO.
    When the usual suspects protested armed soldiers in the streets…the Mayor announced on the radio that the troopers had NO AMMO….
    Then somebody ordered a contingent of Marines from nearby 28 Palms….again with orders of NO AMMO…an illegal order because MARINES ALWAYS CARRY AMMO….
    The Marines were deploying when a gangbanger did a driveby…..only to get himself, and his car, shredded by a kid on a Striker with a mini-gun (2000 rds/min).
    Result……order on the streets and no more drivebys….

    Yep, and if you fail,there’s a whole raft of agencies and social workers to soother your troubled brow with every feel-good thingie from grief counselling to psychological counselling,to try and figure out just where it was the system wronged you.
    If, on the other hand, you work hard and honest all your life,start a business,and it eventually fails,you’re SOL,and it’s considered to be your fault. Revenue Canada will still send you threatening letters warning you to NOT take part in the underground economy years after your company folds.

    While I harbour a fierce loyalty to the M2HB….as crowd control on the streets of London it is totally inappropriate. The Brit GPMG is much better….higher rate of fire and significantly less collateral damage. The FN minimi—SAW in US usage would be better yet.
    The object is to neutralize the rioters on the streets without harming the general public in their homes/shops….50 cal can “shoot through schools”…..doncha know…

  12. We had so many coastal hurricanes- 15 in a 4 year period,
    property and persons had to be protected.

    (b) Any person who commits the crime of trespass during emergency and, without legal justification, obtains or exerts control over, damages, ransacks, or destroys the property of another is guilty of the felony of looting and shall be punished as a Class H felon.

    Translation-
    If you loot,
    I can shoot your balls off and you have to pay to have them sewed back on…

  13. Reminds me of the movie “Police Academy”.
    The whimpy kid, now a cop, confronts the men who had bullied him in high school as they carry a television set during a riot. After beating them to the ground with his baton, the former bully says, “But this is MY TV!”
    Yes, riots and rebels are why God gave man the Holy Machinegun of Corinth.
    The AA-12 automatic shotgun isnt bad either.

    ANY attempt to paint these riots as “redistribution of wealth” or some such rot should be met with a belt to the head.
    I’ve lost all patience.
