  7. I wrote Gary Lunn my MP at the time about the strip search machines and the pat downs that have come to Canada. He responded with a passioned defence of the regime. This is really a question of fundamental freedom and it’s time to put a stop to it. Does anyone really believe the US will impose travel restrictions if we get rid of the strip search and grope routine? Did they impose any when we didn’t follow along with the shoe carnival?

    to travel with minimum cloth and it reduced less check up for your security and it faster time to check you up with less cloth on
    or let’s your fashion cloth people creat cloth for traveller nonMuslim to made check you so fast take it all and then wear it fast.
    even in Canada few years ago men and women can walk top less and when you not wear any cloth like stone age then not need to worry about of lenghty check up.
    let’s allow all security check goes for Muslim who cover up only.

  16. Being a rather eastern looking wasp (aquiline features, brown eyes) I always get picked out for the full pat. So I suspect there is a little profiling going on anyway.
    The thing is even with my pat they always miss something. The last flight I went on I had a full tube of toothpaste and a bottle of sun tan lotion in my back pack. They were remnants from an earlier trip last summer. The ability of these people to screen for threats is what bothers me. They just don’t seem up to the job. Any terrorist who wants to get through will. So why spend all this money and slow down commerce.

    I have always thought the best solution would be to make air marshalls universal on all flights and fire extinguishers under every seat. Or as Steyn suggested a few years ago, arm every passenger.

    Its not security. Its security -theater-. Its a little show they put on to make it look like they are Doing Something. The reason to spend the money is the same reason McGuinty is spending money on windmills, and why Chretien spent money on the gun registry: they’re -stealing- it.
    And no, I’m not being ironic nor am I kidding. All those naked body scanners, they ones they aren’t using now because of the x-ray dosage? Somebody got the SWEETEST contract for those things, and that somebody is no doubt extremely supportive of whoever gave them that sweet contract. Then there’s the newly unionized TSA gropers, their managers, the manager’s managers, the tea lady, etc.
    All to put on a little show for the flying public. In order to steal even more money, they will soon be rolling out the TSA Peep Show at train stations, bus stations, even gas stations and the random side of the road. Out of the car for a quick grope and a check of the trunk to make sure you’re not smuggling shampoo in the large bottles.
    I can hardly wait for them to try that sh1t in Arizona, Texas, Nevada, all those red-neck places where the locals carry guns. Going to be some fun you-tubes coming out of that.

    be fleshed out to become “Obama’s People’s Militia”. It seems obvious that the justification for all
    this intrusive action is searching for the chemical filled syringes that will be supposedly used to set
    off suicide bombs on airliners.
