I was reading the story of Saskatchewan father Kim Walker who took the law into his own hands and shot a drug dealer who was risking the life of his daughter Jadah who is now in recovery.
Walker’s conviction has been reduced his charge from murder to manslaughter.

The military gets called in when the provincial governments request through the Aid to Civil Power. The military is there to provide immediate assistance to the people of the afflicted area and try to mitigate the disaster.
The military is not there to clean up after the disaster unless the role has been changed. I understand there is hardship but the CF aren’t janitors. Insurance will help those who bought it while buying their beautiful property that just happened to be in the flood plain. Don’t bitch at those soldiers who tried their best to assist you in your hour of need when they don’t stick around because you are looking for some cheap labour after the crisis has been averted.
