In The Mail

The Benefits Of Socialism, by A. Hunter Solomon. “A comprehensive itemization of leftist contributions to humanitarianism, prosperity, liberty and society.”

“As you know, the recent election brought some remarkable gains for the NDP. It is critically important that mere ordinary people learn to appreciate the extent to which their meager lives may be bettered through leftist dogma.”

I read “Benefits of Socialism” from cover to cover, without putting it down. In my opinion, this may be the most illuminating book on the topic, ever.
Ever ever ever.

  1. Just finished reading it on my Kindle 3 times, absolutely enlightening, a must read, on the level of Atlas Shrugged.

  2. Also a true tribute to Capitalism. This is a better investment than my pet rock was. The message is timeless.

  3. I concur with Peter – the more hidden irony.
This is a tribute to Free Enterprise & Capitalism.
Someone comes up with an idea, and trys to sell it.
If it’s good, and it’s marketed well, the developer makes a lot of $. If the owner does a really good job, people are hired to distribute and service the product and get some of the profits (wages).
I disagree with the blank pages though. One of the good things Socialism has produced is vehemently anti-socialist behaviour and sentiment.

  4. dwo – 666 … what possible connotations can it have?
The devil works in NDP ways.
BTW: Does anyone market 666 jeans?

  6. You got me good Kate. I reluctantly clicked the link and prepared myself to accept maybe there is a good thing or two about socialism.
    I’m OK now.

  7. this reminds me of the old Mad Magazine articles where they would have a shelf of “very thin books.” this would be one of them.
