Newt Gingrich accused of racism by NBC host, after Gingrich makes a factual statement that makes absolutely no reference to, and has nothing to do with, race.
(h/t Maggie’s Farm)
EBD beat me to it, but here’s the rampage of the despicable Chris Matthews on the same phoney attack on Gingrich.
Trust me, I’m no fan of Gingrich as president but for anyone to pull the race card on him so far beyond the pale.
It’s clear that the Media Party, in consultation with the Democrat Party, has laid out their strategy as to how to help Obama over the next 1.5 years. Will Americans buy into this tripe? Unfortunately, more than a few. đ
The Mohawks have moved into Hyde Park in Toronto. This could be an interesting summer. Maybe they are taking the Caledonia protest on the road.
mike at 10:15 PM, that man should get a medal.
FKA Gord:
Where in Toronto is Hyde Park?!?
KevinB, they’ve set up camp in High Park. They claim Torontonians are bicycling on sacred burial grounds.
In a column in the OC Register titled “Who will restore reality to politics”, Mark Steyn gives a big thumbs-down to Mitt Romney’s “Romneycare.”
Excerpt:
“RomneyCare is not just an argument about health care. It exemplifies what’s wrong with American political structures: It suggests that our institutions are incapable of course correction; it reminds us (as does John Boehner’s joke budget ‘savings’ of a couple of weeks back) that Republicans are either easily suckered or too eager to be bipartisan fig leaves in embarrassing kindergarten kabuki; it confirms that ‘technocracy’ in politics is a synonym for ‘more’ â more government, more spending, more laws, more bureaucrats, more regulations, more paperwork, more of what’s killing this once-great republic every hour of every day. In defense of Romney, one might argue that politics is the art of the possible. But in Massachusetts what was possible made things worse. That’s the situation the nation is in â and the message that America’s lenders are beginning to get.”
Those ‘burial grounds’ have been subjected to 40 digs with no evidence found. The laughable thing is they have been given a camping permit and the local authorities are looking intently in the other direction.
Great article by Ross McKitrick about Ontario’s green power trip. Particularly amusing is the absurdity of the claims of the clean air advocates.
“According to Environment Canada, dust from unpaved roads in Ontario puts a whopping 90,116 tonnes of PM2.5 into our air each year, nearly 130 times the amount from coal-fired power generation. Using the Clean Air Alliance method for computing deaths, particulates from country-road usage kills 40,739 people per year, quite the massacre considering there are only about 90,000 deaths from all causes in Ontario each year. Who knew? That quiet drive up back country roads to the cottage for a weekend of barbecues, cozy fires and marshmallow roasts is a form of genocide.”

“Due to this partnership, and through the initiative of the Islamic Foundation, the Scarborough Hospital changed its policies in relation to shrouding the bodies of the deceased Muslims to respect religious injunctions, with male staff handling male bodies and female staff handling female bodies.
âThe Mosque is also recommending to various hospitals that they implement policies for treatment and caring of the Muslim female patients, preferably by hospitalâs female staff only,â http://cjunk.blogspot.com/
@10:46 – so just to be clear, we’re not allowed to refer to welfare (some Black people are on welfare!), Detroit (lots of Black people in Detroit!), colonialism (some Black people were colonized!), Kenya (full of Black people), eduction reords (speculating about affirmative action is racist! Opposing affirmative action is also racist!), place of birth (foreign countries sometimes have Black people in them, racist!), golfing (what, a Black man’s not allowed to golf?) and the fact that Chris Matthews is weird and stupid (he likes Obama, therefore that would be racist!).
And plus, the economy? Worrying about the economy is so ’80s, like synth music and turned up collars. Anyhow Reagan was White, you racists!
Ugh.
I’m just watching the interview of Lara Logan on 60 Minutes regarding her rape/attack in Cairo earlier this year. In mere moments, a seeming festive mood suddenly turned into a brutally savage attack. The animals ripped all of her clothes off and then raped her with their hands and beat her with flagpoles.
The Religion of Peace.
A couple of interesting items on Ezra Levant’s The Source today.
1. Amnesty International complains about the human rights situation in Canada because (get this) the Harper government has cut funding to activist groups!
They are the first thing that should be cut, although business subsidies are top priority in that regard too.
2. Some native clown is touring Europe wearing a Che Guevara T-shirt and complaining about the oil sands’ effect on the culture of native Canadians (so which band did the psychopath Che Guevara come from?).
Meanwhile Ezra had as a guest a native gentleman who pointed out that there are numerous native Canadians working on the oil sands projects.
@robertw: The Lara Logan segment was horrible cr@p. I’m sure it was a big hit with the slutwalk crowd though.
@nv53: 39.62% of Canadians probably wouldn’t complain if Amnesty International were added to the likely-terrorist-no-funding-allowed blacklist.
Yes, LED technology WILL be the future, but we’re talking about early adopter costs here. Remember how expensive those (toxic) CFL bulbs were when they first came out. Now I’m not saying I’ll BUY any of these bulbs, but give them 5-10 years to get manufacturing costs down.
American Politics + American Main Stream Media = one big cesspool … no wonder so many don’t vote, they don’t want to get the stink on them.

That’s fine – just don’t make it the law that I have to be an early adopter.
