SDA regular “Trent” writes;
I’ll be on the Roy Green Show from 1:45PM MT to talk about trucking and the effects of the election on truckers. I’ll be bringing up the Western Climate Initiative and how on page 9 of their plan they list “Transportation” as the major source of Greenhouse Gas emissions.
Please listen if you get a chance.
Ha! “If Jack Layton thinks he’s going to pick truckers’ pockets to pay for free Shiatsu massages for university students, I got news for him – it’s not going to happen, hippy.”

Start with page one, right in the introduction. They attempt to claim as fact that “adverse impacts of climate change are already being experienced in our states and provinces”.
There’s gonna be some adverse impacts alright…on the food supply and availability throughout North America…pretty well everything is moved/distributed by truck.
Give ’em hell Trent!
Here is a trucking fact that most may be unaware of:
The technology of truck engines have improved dramatically. 12 modern tractor trailers emit the equivalent exhaust of one truck from 1998. I don’t understand all of the technical details, but heard that fact from a Cummins Diesel trainer last year in a work safety workshop.
I clicked on the link and looked at the Western Climate Initiative website. I can only imagine how much time and travel, hotels, meals, consultant fees, etc. etc. were wasted on this initiative.
I really think we need the “famine” that Kate has been proposing to give governments everywhere the stones they need to shut down this kind of waste and nonsense.
I only shudder to think how much more of this kind of garbage we would have to endure if somehow we ended up with PM Jack.
Way to go, Trent!
10-4 good buddy
The east indians have ruined the trucking industy in canada lemmi explain.
First of all they obtain there trucking liceneces in some cases ilegally , then they will work for nothing they ride tandom here is where they really kick our butt’s …
they cut holes in the floor of there truck’s and p!ss and sh!t right out onto the highway they do not stop except to pick up lot lizards drop them off and refuel.
then they bring there cousins and brothers on board and evenually they under cut every single trucker, trucking company out there i think competition is great but this what they are doing is throwing the balance way off hence truckers drive for almost nothing ..this is not the case all the time but it is happening more and more.
maybe this is small and igsignifigant but it is wrong and unethical and that kind of stuff ruins companies and competition .
Afreind of mine is a welder and he told me they don’t allow them to roll there trucks onto the lot’s anymore becasue they have sh!t smeared from the tranny right to the rear diff housing it stink’s and is just gross!!!
Roy Green lost my support after he cut the trucker off when he mentioned Jack the Drippers, shiatsu massage line, grow up Roy, only a nutless man can straddle a fence and not scream in agony.
I just heard on the radio that “Jack Layton shows up for the …. job.”
I don’t know if Roy will ever have me on again, but I think I got my message across. And let’s be honest, who amongst us wouldn’t like to take a shot at Jack Layton on National radio?
Janice McKinnon fr.Sask, was just on with Rex Murphy, and she did mention the total lack of scrutiny of NDP policy, and why the move from Bloc to Dipper is important..esp.for rest of Canada. She wonders WHY the msm have not asked harder q.of Layton.Little late now.
I listened to it all Trent, good on you. If that is what Roy has become, then it would be best if he hung up the mike. You did a hell of a job and this insipid political correctness is what is emasculating this country with Green leading the charge it seems. Remembeer Brenda Martin, well old Roy had a constant chubby for that bottomfeeder until he got her back to Canada, where is she now, that is Roys judgement, hold your head up Trent, you will not be one of the NDPEE enablers tomorrow.
You all can listen to the segment here.
I don’t agree with you all on the criticism of Roy. What does Jack Layton’s sexual escapades have to do with the trucking industry? An interviewer needs to keep things on topic. Period.
Robert, I understand that living here in Lala-land, we need to fight harder than most to keep our BS detectors free of grunge, sludge, and other indicator-needle-clogging substances. Of course Layton’s rotten ethics have nothing to do with trucking. What they have to do with is whether we want a man like that – a man of little to no goodness and beset with petty evils – to run our country. Do we want a PM who puts bogus environmental issues – never mind the immediate needs of his John Thomas – ahead of his responsibility to his fellow Canadians?
Hope that helps.
Knowing what has been going on with CKNW/CORUS is Vancouver, and the politicization of the radio network, there is no surprise Roy Green cut off the topic.
This is a network no longer interested in controversy, but just in milquetoast chatter.
Talk radio, as we knew it, is dead!

Milquetoast. I love it — what a perfect description. I think NW started its downhill slide with the bizarre axing of Rafe Mair several years back. Myself, I’ve long since tuned out of CKNW, and now have my car radio set to AM 790 out of Bellingham, which carries the line up of Rush, Beck and Hannity throughout the day.
I’m disappointed to hear the criticism of Roy Greene, deserved or not. I didn’t listen to the segment, as I rarely listen to radio on the weekends, but when I did catch snippets of him in the past, he seemed a pretty solid, common-sense conservative type. He and Adler were the only ones worth listening to anymore.
Don’t worry.
Jack’s got it covered.
Your NDP government is going to allow you to write off all those ‘hot lizards’.
At ‘community truck stops’.
Only fair, seeing his cap n’ trade stuff is going to increase the cost of your biz(and the consumers) by 3 fold.
Anyone who believes carbon is pollution and not plant food is a nutter, gone bonkers, should be locked up for being terminally stupid.
Do we have enough jail space to hold the NDP?
The Western Climate Initiative (WCI) is a collaboration of seven U.S. states and four Canadian provinces that have been working together since 2007 to identify, evaluate, and implement policies to address climate change.
The Canadian Provinces are British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec.
The American States are Arizona, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Of them nine partners list their largest source of emissions as transportation, while the other four; Arizona, Montana, Utah and New Mexico list electricity. I suspect that the other is second in each state or province (except maybe Quebec).
In their document they say the following.
As part of a comprehensive strategy to reduce GHG emissions (is it the problem they say it is or is it just another money grab by leftists), the WCI Partner jurisdictions have recommended a market-based program that provides an incentive to limit emissions and promotes technological innovation. Cap-and-trade has proven to be a successful means of reducing air pollution. (My question is; where is this proven?) It also is considered one of the most cost-effective and reliable strategies for pricing carbon emissions and providing emitters of GHG emissions with an incentive to limit pollution (I again would like to see where this is proven). With the trading component, cap-and-trade allows emitters to be flexible and creative in how to make needed reductions.
This is another tax form (hidden from the consumer) that will affect all sectors of our economy and provide the leftists with a source of revenue to implement their social giveaway programs and create new burocracy (like the gun registry) to further swing the balance from makers to takers.
It is interesting that the Canadian participants are either Liberal or NDP governments, so be sure that a Coalition of NDP, Liberal and Bloc would enforce participation by the rest of the country.
Brad Wall has spoken out about this and with good reason since the Saskatchewan was an observer at the discussions but was not a signee of the agreement.
In my estimation, anyone that votes for (A)nything (B)ut the (C)onservatives is a dammed fool
comprehensive strategy to reduce GHG emissions (is it the problem they say it is or is it just another money grab by leftists)
There is NO Global Warming.
There is NO energy shortage.
CO2 is GOOD.
It is another money grab by Leftists, but not just a money grab, it is a power grab with the ultimate goal of quickly killing off over 90% of the world’s human population through privation.
I hope the third-worlders give these enviro-pimps a fight. North Americans and Europeans seem to have been Pavlov-conditioned into acceptance of everything those in government want to do with them, or to them.

Gents, I fully understand what you’re saying and my disdain for CKNW is well known. I just don’t think that Roy Green has been “bought” because he insisted that the guests stay on topic.
I think his handling of Massage-gate yesterday was well handled. Lorrie Goldstein presented the facts and invited people to decide for themselves.
I also think that Jack Layton and the NDP would be BEYOND TERRIBLE for the country. But I also believe that citizens in a democracy deserve the politicians they vote for. For example, BC voters have twice before elected an NDP government. The results were disastrous both times. Our economy was dramatically hurt. So we paid the price for such stupidity! But in a democracy, people have the right to be stupid.
I was at a wedding this week-end and the dipper supporters there who didn’t know about the massage parlour, come jerk off joint, were horrified when I told them that Jack was found there with no clothing on getting his “Medical clinic” massage at a previously busted hoe house. No one, and I mean no one is buying Liberal media’s coverage, can you imagine a con getting nearly two decades of liberal media coverup? Second now I know why the radical left didn’t like Harper’s anti-human smuggling bill might of interupted the flow of sex slaves from China perhaps? Oh and Liberal Media we won’t stop digging, bet on it. Your negligence on reporting this story helped how many Asian gangs ship female sex slave workers into Canada to be used and abused?
“people have the right to be stupid.”
You’re quite right there, but it’s a damned shame that those with common sense have to suffer as a result of the stupidity.
My opinion of Roy Green: He’d much rather hear himself talk, than any of his guests or callers. He talks as a RWer, but it’s all about Roy!
Tiresome, very quickly!
In ‘ordinary’ times this would all just be interesting debate. But tomorrow it could become all too real, so we must do what we can to produce a Conservative majority.
Please e-mail your friends and acquaintances who might otherwise sit this one out. The stakes are just too high for all of us. Consider going to your local candidates campaign office to work the phones or to give voters a ride to the polls.
The other quys will be working hard and appear to be more passionate and motivated, but there really are more of us than them – we just have to make sure everyone exercises their franchise.
I think it would be fascinating to see if there is a ‘blip’ in public sector workers calling in sick tomorrow. It’s a sweet deal: get paid by the taxpayers while you work hard to get your benefactors into power.
Robert W., I am in full agreement with your comments.
Trent, I heard the segment while driving to Saskatoon and thought it was great and to the point. If the coalition takes power it will be real tough on truck owners.
Roy cutting you off when you mentioned Jack was a little disconcerting though. He has done this before and is maybe a little too brusque. It gives the listener bad vibes and not having heard Saturday’s Layton episode made me think he was covering for Jack.
Thanks, Ken. Before I took the jab at Layton I knew I should perhaps not, but I just gotta be me.
As far as the way Roy handled it, I thought he should have worked with it a bit more as he did come across as defending Layton.
Harper majority!!!
@biffjr. – nailed it. If Alberta separated, I’d be back in a New York minute. We could all revel in our knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, gun-nut paradise while the rest of the country spiralled down the shithole.
My son loves snow anyway.
