The First American Prime Minister

Rules out Canadian military defense of Israel;

In the French debate on Wednesday, Ignatieff said a Liberal government would only allow Canadian troops to be deployed on missions that had the blessing of the United Nations.
“The Canadian army must never be used outside the country without the authorization of the UN,” Ignatieff told his audience in French.

  1. The United Nations is full of ignorant, arrogant, un-elected, un-accountable parasites who use other people’s time, effort and money to prop up third world banana republics. Domestic issues must be priority one for Canada’s military; not UN sanctioned magical mystery tours. Canadian foreign (and defence) policy doesn’t get made in New York.

  2. This world is fast approaching the point where it will beyond any reasonable repair. I fear we are doomed.
2012 may not come fast enough and the GOP may blow it. Harper will get another minority.
    We are doomed.
    Cheer me up somebody.

  3. Iggy blurted this out for the benefit of Quebec….an entity long noted for isolationism….very resistant to involvement in our World Wars. Conscription didn’t apply to Quebec to avoid a revolt….
    That said….
The UN has over 150+ member states….after NATO members, Isreal, New Zealand, maybe India, Japan, and some Pacific Islands…perhaps about 30….
It is safe to estimate that about 20% of the UN member states are democratic and follow a rule of law….the rest are despots and dictators.
Iggy’s suggestion would surrender our sovereignty to Muggabbe, Chavez and Ahmadinnerjacket.

  4. Bastard never would’ve said that in an English debate. Conservative back room boys had better sure this gets out.

  5. Maybe he can find Truedeau’s old german army helmut with the spike in the top to emphasize the metaphorical nuanced “point” he’s making.

  6. I bet it’s the same people, who objected to the “extra-territorial application of American law” when the U. S. tried to prevent its citizens working in Canada from dealing with Cuba, who think it’s fine for the U. N. to be dictating to Canada what we do with our own military.

  7. Iggy just put the stamp of stink on his run for PM.
The only other Nations worth fighting for are America & Israel, besides our own of course. Against Quebec.
I think where all tired of the users.

  8. Iggy just gave himself a foreign policy blow job.
Feels good when you think you are doing yourself a pleasure.
