There is nothing wrong with working and writing in the USA and that writing can even be emboldened with a “I’m one of you” style but it bears repeating; if the conservatives placed before the Canadian electorate a candidate for PM with a similiar history to Mr. Ignatieff the voices of outrage from our media would be deafening.

“Liberals can’t sack controversial candidate”
“Disgraced Liberal candidate Andre Forbes, who allegedly called natives “featherheads” and “lazy” years ago while heading a white rights group, isn’t going away quietly.
And while Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff thinks he sacked Forbes as a Liberal candidate last week, apparently he can’t actually do that.
Forbes, who will be addressing the media Monday to answer NDP “attacks” against him, is still listed as the confirmed candidate for the Quebec riding of Manicouagan on Elections Canada’s website.
“And the law does not contain any provision that would allow a party to remove its support to a confirmed candidate,” Elections Canada’s Serge Fleyfel told Le Soleil newspaper. Only Forbes can resign, by 5 p.m. Monday.
A member of Forbes’ team told Le Soleil he hasn’t ruled out running as an Independent.
“But his first option would be to remain as a Liberal candidate.”
If he doesn’t resign, the Liberal Party will not be allowed to run another candidate in the riding.”

The so-called debate is a joke as the Three Stooges will pile on PMSH and generally behave badly. Millions of Canadians won’t bother watching the debacle, and will rely on the media for their analysis. PMSH will be portrayed as adversarial and mean-spirited. Ignatieff could have a complete meltdown and fling chairs about, Layton could run off the stage in tears and Duceppe could pee his pants on national TV and the media would report that PMSH was the loser.
Anyone who bases his/her vote on this debate shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
Just wondering but has any MSM asked Iffy if he made application for US citizenship? Why do I get the feeling that the anglo/amero-phile may actually have cast that vote because he is a Yank.

The Conservative ads “just visiting” and “not in it for you” are targeted to affect Liberal supporters. Small c conservatives are much more open minded about such things, but Liberals have whipped their supporters into outraged frenzies against Albertans, rednecks, American style health-care etc so often that they have attracted all types of haters.
