Obama is the product of the self-absorbed secular American higher educational culture. As such, he doesn’t have a religious bone in his body except insofar as the trappings of religion serve some practical political end (cf. involvement in Chicago’s African-American community, which is largely run through churches) or make him feel good about himself (e.g., the whole “I’m very spiritual, but not religious” mindset). As such, he’s not a muslim, but he leaves just enough room for doubt in order to curry favor with the appropriate identity politics groups (cf. his own statements about being a blank screen upon which people project what they want).
People who get all overwrought about Obama’s own beliefs would better spend their time investigating why the secular far Left has for decades been so interested in making common cause with Radical Islam. That explains more about Obama than any birth certificate ever will.
