  1. Michael Ramirez is a gifted cartoonist and a very big reason why I subscribe to Investor’s Business Daily.

  2. I don’t understand why a conservative website is featuring the NDP platform for the upcoming June election.

  3. Sounds like Iggy except he would add “Lets regulate the media and the internet like they did to kill North Korea.”

  4. A caution sign such as
    …SLOW DOWN…
    Marxists at work
would have fit right into the cartoon also.

  5. At least for this speech we were spared the sight of Pelosi leaping to her feet like someone was goosing her every few seconds.

  6. Obama’s present position on the issues, in a nutshell. And he had the gall to disguise these repudiated policies as a push for national greatness, because the US faced a ” sputnik moment”. The US really faces the decision of whether to jump off the cliff it placed itself on by electing this socialist.
Notice that global warming, cap and trade and all other CO2 talk were no where to be found. They actually were there in the SOTU, but appeared as Obama’s call for a ” renewable portfolio standard “. Kimberly Strassel has an excellent article in the Friday WSJ: ” Cap and trade returns from the grave. ”

  7. This cartoon is so funny and so absolutely right and Sgt Lejaune’s suggestion is a good idea. This is one to send around to all my contacts.
Yes, JMD, I kind of missed the sight of Pelosi jumping up and down. She reminded me of the jack-in-the-boxes that some of our grandchildren had when they were babies.
    dmorris, good question.

  8. It’s interesting that one of the “On Site” news comments regarding the Muslim Opposition referred to the “Muslim Brotherhood, Unions and other leftist organizations”….as if there was any confusion about where the lefties stand on this deal.

  9. Osumashi – I’m concerned about this. I don’t know how, um, passionate, relatively speaking, this Muslim Brotherhood is, but if they’re really out there they might be interested in the destruction of antiquities for its own sake. To some of the real fanatics pre-Islamic “pagan” history needs to be destroyed. Remember the Buddhas of Bamyan:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhas_of_Bamyan
I’ve read that at one point the Ayatollahs came very close to ordering the destruction of Persepolis:

  10. This Obama guy is a real multi-tasker, he’s not just content to bring down his own country, he’s got time to meddle in Egypt and see if he can head-fake the people into dumping Mubarak, after which of course they will have either chaos or crazy mullahs. Meanwhile, Obama will have moved on to his next glittering success.

  11. I don’t know, Black Mamba. I’m assuming it was the mob mentality. Some people tried to stop the looting. It wouldn’t surprise me if wanton destruction of antiquities did occur.
Some objects might be preserved and sold for some other purpose in less scrupulous hands.

  12. This is great, but…
Healthcare will in no way be socialized. Not any more than it has been for decades, at least. On top of that it is actually strengthening the private industry of health insurance. Plus England didn’t get “ruined” at all and the people love what they have.
I also don’t really give a shit what happened in Spain, or rather what some study in Spain said. If energy usage can become more efficient, then it is just the market changing, and the market should be FREE and not kept the same just to keep people in old jobs.

  13. But remember, Obama’s like Reagan, except when Reagan was supposedly a doddering old fool wandering around the White House…
I’m so sick of Obama. I’ll be GLAD to turn 30 because it’ll mean this national nightmare will be OVER and Obama will be a one-term president.
