I don’t know why, but for some reason, this WTF moment makes me think about this one episode of “The Beverly Hillbillies” where this confidence huckster was bilking the Clampetts out of their money by having them write million-dollar cheques out to various charities with the initials C.A.S.H. Cheating people out of their money based on ignorance and naïveté never goes out of style. 😉

  15. I’ve said I’d support RG or NG in 2012, but I also said I’d wait for the debates to judge SP as potential POTUS.
    Something tells me that SP will surprise a lot of people in 2012. I can’t be certain that her sharp wit will translate to a strong debate; but I can’t help but think that her plain, straight forward, pithy, no BS style scares the iSht out of her competitors on both sides of the aisle.

  21. Obama managed to win the 2008 election with unprecedented support from the youth vote and someone in his supposed brain trust couldn’t pick that up? Serious, no one, but no one is going to convince me that Sarah Palin isn’t sharp as a tack after this. But I agree with Indiana Homez: being good at criticism is one thing, offering effective solutions is another. It’s getting to the point where she will need to start articulating some sort of solid vision of how to fix things. As much as I like her, I wouldn’t commit my vote to her yet.

  24. There are some people who aren’t familiar with this acronym; one of my older MOA’s had a puzzled look on her face when I wrote WTF??? on a patients lab results and I had to explain it to her.
    OTOH, anyone who’s been on the internet knows that WTF doesn’t mean “winning the future”. IMO the TOTUS is so arrogant that he believes that if he redefines the meaning of an acronym everyone will forget the original meaning.

    The President’s State of the Union address boiled down to this message: “The era of big government is here as long as I am, so help me pay for it.” He dubbed it a “Winning The Future” speech, but the title’s acronym seemed more accurate than much of the content.

There’s a very simple reason why Barry Sotero failed to see the popular symbolism in WTF…he’s a government lefty lifer, and, WTF to him, if anything, suggests a nice, transnational org of the ruling class, like the World Trade Organization. Remember, this is the dope who said 100 MILLION Burmese had died when a cyclone hit the country ( Burma’s total population before the cyclone hit: 50 million ), and thinks that residents of Austria speak a language called Austrian. Of course, other than that, the $1 trillion deficits as far as the eye can see, and his job-killing ObamaCare bill, Barry has served up nothing but aces. Who knows what heights Washington could have achieved if he prepared for the presidency by being a community organizer, rather than having actual responsibilities, and accomplishents in his record.

  39. Peter O’Donnell – OT, but I really don’t doubt Obama’s parentage, although what his hippy-dip mom may have had them write on the birth certificate is another matter. Barry doesn’t look like his father, but that’s because facially he strongly resembles his mother’s side of the family. His body type is east African.

    I went to Mark Steyn’s visit to London, ON before Christmas. In his speech he talked about western civilization’s decline where the best inventions, innovations, discoveries, minds and leaders came between 1850 and 1960…He stipulated we acheived all this greatness when the average of the population had a grade 8 education and were much more spiritual (Of Faith) than today…He claims Western civilization has been in decline ever since the 60’s with supposebly more ‘educated’ and less ‘superstitious’ people.
    Myself, I’ll trust a countryside farmer before I trust any elitist snake from the city any day.
