Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

hmm, I don’t think “letting the air out of the tires” would help much, but I imagine that the driver felt a bit more secure after he locked up the front 4×4 axles.
Here’s how the fools in charge in Queensland who bought into the ‘Global Warming causes Drought” scam caused the floods in Brisbane.
There should not have been any flooding.
The Dams had the design capacity to handle the surge.
The water levels were not reduced – fear of drought being the “New” climate condition.
Because the reservoirs were so full they had to let water out into the river instead of acting as a giant sponge. This water that water that was let out pushed the river over the levees.
This was not an Act of God.
This was an act of Political Stupidity due to belief in the Eco Theology of Global Warming
Tens of billions in damages, unknown dead count, staggering amount of unnecessary stress and pain for hundreds of thousands of innocent Aussies.
Thank you Al Gore.

Fred: Sorry about that, I had the wrong link under the vid, I meant to link to the exact facts that you state above.
This appears to be a parable of socialism – the cameraman and his people sat there and watched the disaster happen and failed to do anything to mitigate the loss. The government didn’t come and bail them out, and now – oh my goodness what will we do.
The guy with the white SUV represents the minority of the western world who still believes in taking matters into his own hands.

And it is also a money grab.
How many tax dollars and loans from the IMF, World Bank and every other financial institution around the world who will get very rich because of these disasters. There is only one tax payer and it is me and you who will be paying for this.
Big Al and many like him are making a lot of money on this.
more from Australia . . stories coming out that insurance companies are refusing to pay flood claims . . saying it was an Act of God.
The lawyers are going to have field day with these companies . . somebody’s lunch is going to get eaten when the reality that the flooding was totally preventable sinks in.
I wonder how quickly the water rose? Was it just a matter of minutes or did they have a few hours plus notice?
What kakola said.
These people should begin a class action lawsuit against all the prominent names in the Global Warming, Climate Change or what ever obfuscation the fraud artists currently employ.

The National Met office warmed them in October 2009 about a heavy Cyclone season.
They were ignored.
The article indicates they had weeks warning in the Brisbane case as the very strong cyclonic low worked its way across Queensland.
Nothing was done to prepare the dams & reservoirs to accept the surge of water that was coming.
They had lots of warning and lots of time to prevent these floods.
The floods were 100% preventable . . . except the people in charge filtered their decision making process through brains that were addled by years of Global Warming hysteria, lies and propaganda.
Now that is a tragedy.
Wow, if the dam level policy can be proven, this is an example of startling incompetency. Act of God? Not likely. Act of stupidity brought to you by politicians acting on advice from the AGW Church of Gaia? Sure looks like it. For example:
Dams used for flood control were not built because of the belief in global warming.

You’d like to give government the benefit of the doubt but Australia also had those deadly bushfires that were made worse by environmental policies prohibiting tree and brush clearing. In addition, Steyn on line linked to a few stories about the Australian government’s pink batts insulation program that was implicated in causing house fires.
“The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” – Ronald Reagan
Another example of our ‘intellectual superiors’ knowing what’s best for the rest of us when they don’t even know how to roll up their sleeves or tuck their shirt in and get the job done.
It’s amazing that people sat on their asses and let their cars be taken away by the water. Why in the heck didn’t they move them?
“he’s taking the air out of his tires”. I can’t imagine how daft you’d have to be for such a ludicrous thought would ever pop into your head. Daft enough to stand idly by without moving your car, I guess.
Thank-you for this posting and the link Cjunk. Thank-you for the expeditious explanation, Fred. The nincompoops in the fanatical earth worship society believe that they will look stupid with egg on their faces when the truth about the AGW hoax is known by the ‘peons’ (us) who pay their bills and keep them in a life style that they feel ‘entitled’ to – the climate/weather fanatics were never a science based organization; they were and are a cult. The squealing of the male and the laughing at other people’s misfortune (cars are major investments) lets you know the nature of the people filming.
The American people miss ‘W’ , sane Australians must be missing the intrepid and competent Mr. (not a coward – from SDA header) Howard.
Let the troika coalition of Canada get their filthy hands on power and we will be far deeper in the PC/debt gutter than Australia, GB or USA.

No kidding. And, an extreme minority if this is any indication. One person? ONE PERSON? Only one freaking person took direct action to mitigate damage to their property. Un-be-freakin’-lievable. If the number of breaks in the footage is any indication, there was more than enough time to safely take action.
Most likely the rest watched thinking, “The government and/or insurance will pay for the damage.”
I cheered for the SUV guy, way to save your vehicle.
He’s not letting air out of his tires imho. Probably manually locking in his front hubs.
Friend of mine lives about 45 miles out of Brisbane. Up until recently they were experiencing a 7 year drought where household water restrictions were down to 350 litres per day. So bad that they built a water desalination plant which they continued to run well into the rainy period because of cost to shutdown.
Ah yes, Australia, where every other moving thing will kill you if it bites! My culture shock was complete when I learned even the toads were spitting poison!
