(Washington, D.C.) – U.S. Sens. David Vitter and John Barrasso today introduced S. 4015, the Public Access to Historical Records Act, which would dramatically improve the transparency and accuracy of NASA’s historical records and guarantee public access to the data.
“Recent incidents, such as the investigation showing that the Obama administration manipulated data to justify the drilling moratorium, have raised concerns that some scientists and government agencies are using misleading data to support their favored viewpoints,” said Vitter. “This bill would open NASA’s temperature records to public scrutiny and establish an objective set of data to ensure that influential climate research is protected from political agendas.”
“Each year, Americans are forced to spend billions of their hard-earned dollars to support climate change research. Since this administration promised to be the most open administration in history, it should immediately share NASA’s temperature data with the American public,” said Barrasso. “There are too many questions regarding temperature models not to allow all Americans access to this data. This legislation will ensure that our nation has the most accurate and transparent historic temperature record in the world.”

Any Canadian PM more apprehensive about the economy and welfare of Canadians would enthusiastically and ardently oppose any form of the fraud known as “climate change( CC)”. Over-reacting to this world economic restructuring scam will devastate the Canadian economy, transfer billions of our tax dollars to corrupt socialistic/communist countries, transfer tens of thousands of our jobs, and diminish our standard of living
Now that communism has been invalidated, “Climatism” is the new “ism” adopted by the extremists as their vehicle to increase taxes and transfer wealth just as Trudeau’s National Energy Program was intended. The inconvenient truth is that the job slaughtering over-reacting to “CC” is a stealth strategy for enormous, disingenuous long-term, structural tax increases. “CC” will evolve around an economic Ponzi scheme that includes an enormous new source of tax revenue to the Canadian government to allow it to continue its current expansion of interfering in the free market place, will transfer billions of our tax dollars to undeserving often corrupt countries, will demolish tens of thousands of high paying manufacturing and service jobs, will result in the transfer of political power to the emerging global governance and bureaucracy, injure productivity, and will be a devastating disasters for our children’s standard of living.
The Climate Change Fund (CCF) will increase the reach, power, and authority of global governance and transfer at least $100 billion a year to the nations of the world who repudiate creating their own wealth. The recipients, who are commonly corrupted/socialistic leaders, are demanding annual transfers of hundreds of billions of dollars, and on top of that, if you can believe it, they don’t want the donor countries to have much authority as to how the money is spent (wasted), to monitor the spending of our tax dollars, or to authenticate emission reductions. Harper must opt out of this tax increasing proclamation by asserting that Canada categorically will not raise the necessary taxes which will be required if we contribute to this scam fund which will finance the retirement funds for thousands of corrupt, socialistic, illegitimate, wack-job leaders such as the Mugubes, Kims, Hus, Ahmadinejads, and Chavezes of this world. Surely we all remember the last time that the UN was given responsibility to administrate a multibillion dollar program, and how they incompetently screw-up the corrupt “Food for Oil” fund.
Countries that participate in this wealth transferring, and tax increasing scam will discover that the price of all goods and services such as gasoline, electricity will increase. The increase in the price of Canadian goods will make them less competitive in world markets. Canadian producers will suffer in export markets and domestically in competition with goods imported from countries that do not impose high implicit tax on CO2 emissions. The results of course will be massive manufacturing and service industry job losses leading to a much lower standard of living for us and especially our children. In fact, a 2009 study by economists at the California State University at Sacramento found that the implementation cost “could easily exceed $100 billion” and that the program would raise the cost of living by $3,857 per household each year by 2020. So much for the so-called free green lunch!
The latest scientific evidence indicates that the climate may not have changed in the last eleven years, and that the so-called “climate change” is a socialistic hoax to transfer wealth. Therefore, at this time our PM must not annihilate the Canadian economy just to please the left-wing extremists who insist on higher taxes and wealth transfers.
Rational people would think that the first step must include legitimate research and informed discussions pursuant to the current climate change paradigms rather than relying on erroneous computer models based on left-bias assumptions and manipulated data by some rogue “scientists”. These scientists are competing in a culture of exaggeration for the finite number of government research dollars by fabricating gloom and doom fantasies. The deliberations must include more than incontrovertibly paying attention to the biased press and environmental NGOs, each of which have their far-left agendas plus incentives to increase their influence and earnings or government grants. Step two would mandate the private sector, including the investment community possibly with tax incentives, to research, develop, produce, and implement technology necessary, such as carbon capture and sequestration, to resolve any climate problems that might be scientifically and legitimately confirmed to be acute; by reducing the carbon intensity per unity of production.
It is becoming increasing transparent that the so-called “climate change” panic is nothing more than a deception by far-left wealth redistributing advocates. Our left plunging PM must recognized that, rather than being “the greatest problem facing humanity” as he once claimed, “climate change’s” potential for catastrophe is the extremist’s solutions to their imaginary disintegration which would be one hundred times more ruinous than the alleged climate change itself. Unfortunately Canada does not have a small-c fiscal conservative PM, nor are small-c conservatives represented in the Conservative Party or the Canadian Parliament.
It all comes down to the level of taxation. If we work almost half the year to pay off our taxes (as the Fraser Institute calculates with their Tax Freedom Day), how much have we really progressed from medieval times when the peon farmers were forced to work half of the time on the King’s land? And with the length that governments and the progressive elites are going to invent new taxes, how can we ever hope to actually progress towards actual freedom.
I read once that life under a harsh tyrant would actually be better than life under an oppressive bureaucracy because most people will escape the notice of the tyrant or monarch, most of the time. No so with the little army of bureaucratic tyrants employed by modern Democracies.
I think that if the government has an army of bureaucrats on their side, forcibly confiscating our income, why not form an equal and opposite organization to protect taxpayers? A lost cause?
I can only assume that this act will garner widespread support from the people who are hailing Julian Assange as a persecuted hero. Right?
I now think that global warming and the enviroment are just the latest tools to divide people.

I ran into a fella I know that has been working construction all summer & fall in a large solar park. He tells me that the temperature in there is 10 degrees hotter than the surrounding area…I assume that is 10 degrees fahrenheit and not celsius…we’re going to have to be vigilant that temperature recording instruments don’t end up being installed at these locations as they are the perfect location to literally cook data.
I’m sure that temperatures will correct themselves within minutes after the closing of the Cancun Summit. It’s like last year, it was freezing at Copenhagen. It’s hard to convince people about global warming when they are scraping ice off their nose.
The data on temperatures will be realeased to the public when the temperature of hell reaches 0. when hell freezes over. 🙂

I don’t usually watch CBC but there was nothing on and I was too tires to be productive so I watched “The Nature of Things” with David Suzuki. It was about the earth’s magnetic field and was pretty interesting.
I couldn’t believe my eyes (well I could because we all know Suzuki is a lying idiot). He talked about a scientist in Denmark who has done research saying that the earths temperature is driven in part by cloud cover, and cloud formation is driven by atmospheric ionization, which is in turn driven by solar activity. I remember The guy who came up with this theory being derided as a denier just a year ago. Now Suzuki is pretty much stating that this theory is a fact.
