  1. The Premier didn’t get fired over the HST.
He got fired for his green Koolaid agenda.
    [d]

  2. Ok who wasn’t thinking positive thoughts and wreaking the Karma? Site doesn’t work without it.

  3. I loved the comments at the Mope an Wail yesterday. Almost universally against AGW. This survey was fun but I suspect my answers will not be taken into account.

  4. They won’t like my answers and I had to lie about where I lived. They no doubt will google me and find I live in Vancouver.

  5. My goodness these are busy little UN elves working the local level for UN sustainability regulating. They won’t rest until there are no property rights or civil freedoms left.
Like legion of agenda 21 zombies

  6. I suggested a voluntary tax for climate change. That’s my official new position on acceptable climate change action. I told one greenie to consider it like the China deal, greenies need to ‘set an example’ for the rest of us. I suggest usually about 10years or so…then get back to me.

  7. Please everybody, fill it in, decrying this political movement, I live here.
This region is full of political pinkos who drink their own bathwater on a regular basis. Too many government workers…….

  8. Moronic. The default is that there is man made climate change. I guess they have not been following any of the Climategate stuff over the last year, or they are just patently dishonest and wish to waste taxpayer dollars on feel good, do nothing initiatives.
The climate is changing, it always will change, that is why we had ice ages. Humans cannot affect this any more than they can affect the spinning of the earth!

  9. Another reason for the interior of BC to join Alberta. Let them know what I thought of their statist ways of dealing with a non-existent problem. I know people who live in Saanich who are too busy to fill in such surveys so I just did it for them.
It must be really rough for Victoria residents with the snow that they’ve gotten recently as this is one part of the country that has forgotten how to deal with it.

  10. dwright says “The Premier didn’t get fired over the HST. He got fired for his green Koolaid agenda.”
    Exactly right.

  11. From the new server’s link:
[2. What are your main concerns regarding how climate change may affect your household and lifestyle now and in the future?]
Losing my job because of carbon taxes wiping out major industries and medium and small businesses alike.
[3. Do you have any additional perspectives on climate action that you would like to express?]
Why aren’t the people who profess a belief in catastrophic, manmade global warming, er, climate change acting like it? They all seem to be flying around the world and living in mansions and driving huge convoys of huge buses around Canada to say “we’re all dead if we don’t stop flying around the world and living in mansions and driving huge convoys of huge buses around Canada.”
[5. What types of barriers do you think might exist that prevent more substantial action on climate change in our region? (Check all that apply)]
Other: Taking action based on the lie of catastrophic AGW
[I answered ‘yes’ to “6. Based on your personal observations, is the climate changing in the Capital Region?” so I could answer #7]
[7. If you answered Yes, what climatic changes have you observed?]
Other: Bullshit is piling up everywhere from newspapers and ENG, to schools and bureaucracies leading to a noticeable build up of hot air and blowing smoke up asses.

  12. Humph. Although I could have been more original, there were some fun answers to be had..
    2. What are your main concerns regarding how climate change may affect your household and lifestyle now and in the future?
    I won’t get my Smarties.

  13. Thanks for the link. Since I’m one of the few noncoolaid drinking left coasters living in the Victoria area I sent a few choice truths. That if they did not cease and desist from this scam on the taxpayer we the taxpayer will vote them out.
    Carbon Tax my ass.

  14. I live in Victoria, the epicentre of greenism. It is run by the University Environmental Law Centre, the Labour Council and NDP voting civil servants. The current passions are 1) to raise taxes for an unnecessary sewage treatment plant ($1,000 per year per household) 2)get the region designated an Eco-Biosphere by UNESCO which will kill any economic activity still remaining 3) begin collecting kitchen scraps at a cost of $170 per household with no exceptions and no credit to households that already compost and 4) remove all private property rights for landowners who live outside of municipal boundaries. Oh, and save the bunnies and the blue-titted slug. If you ignore all that and can afford it, it is still a pretty nice place to live.

  15. 2. What are your main concerns regarding how climate change may affect your household and lifestyle now and in the future?
the cost of implementing the monetary drag on all households of the yet to be defined environmental impact of climate disruption.
    3. Do you have any additional perspectives on climate action that you would like to express?
yes, let’s re-evaluate the raw data and increase “on the ground” data retrieval bases to the numbers existing at pre-seventies levels. Throw out the modeling with computers and use an Ouija board to predict the future, it will be more accurate than the garbage in, garbage out modeling at the present.
And what is with the tone of this questionnaire?
There should be more accurate choices, like,
Do you think we should scrap this nonsense and follow the lead of Japan? Agree, Disagree.
I have to make a dental appointment, I ground down my teeth answering that piece of drivel.

  16. Amen, bruce wayne riley. I couldn’t finish it; my blood pressure was skyrocketing.
Look, we compost…because we want to, we’re gardeners.
We turn down the thermostats (electric htg.)…and crank up the woodburning airtight fireplace because it’s cheaper to run.
We buy local produce…because we’re trying to support local farmers; and they turn out damn fine product!
We have a septic field…because that’s they way the house was originally built. Any fresh water we use goes right back into the ground from whence it came. The trees and shrubs really appreciate the extra phosphates and nitrates.
We do all the above because it suits us and it makes sense, not because some f’g lard assed bureaucrat, or politician, tells us we HAVE to!

  17. [3. Do you have any additional perspectives on climate action that you would like to express?]
Climate change has always been happening and will continue to happen, and there is nothing that anyone can do about it. AGW activists are delusional and moronic; most of them are also hypocrites. The rank and file of AGW believers are delusional and moronic.

  18. I lied …I’m NOT in Victoria, they won’t like my answers anyway.
    ………………….
    2. What are your main concerns regarding how climate change may affect your household and lifestyle now and in the future?
How much of my after tax income will be stolen by politicians and special interests pretending to save the planet by limiting Co2 in an expensive, detrimental experiment to control the weather.
    3. Do you have any additional perspectives on climate action that you would like to express?
Taxing of Co2 is a fraud the people will NEVER allow.
    Preparing for warmer climates…
does NOT require my paying extortionary amounts for electricity or gas or oil to heat my home.
does NOT require my tax dollars to be redistributed to foreign dictators.
does NOT require my paying any monetary penalty for the imaginary damage of climate change my society has allegedly caused.
    need I say more?

  19. Happily answered that survey. Lied I was from Victoria, but at least I’m not THAT far. 😉

  20. 2. Concerns…. ‘Taxes and regulations imposed by mis-informed politicians caving in to enviro-idiots.’
    3. Additional perspectives…. ‘David Suzuki should be …(looks like the filter doesn’t like this remark).’
    5. What type of barriers…. checked all boxes.
    Other: Sound barrier.
    7. Climate changes observed…. checked all boxes.
Other: The opposite of all the above.
    10. Elmo Phudd
    Sooke
Just doing my civic duty. :~D
    “Ha, Dooty”. -Peter Griffin.

  21. I thought the who should we target/punish for climate change/action (paraphrase) – give a grading of 1-9 a particularily amusing question to answer. I did a diagnol line, starting with tourists being the most important group to target for taxes, education, etc. followed by senior citizens and so on.

  22. Ha, I’m in Victoria, great to see this. Didja see how our city council, having solved all other problems, passed a motion condemning Maclean’s for their Too Asian thing? Not to be outdone, UVic students association wants to boycott Maclean’s. Wonderful city, ridiculous politicians.

  23. My Answers:
[2. What are your main concerns regarding how climate change may affect your household and lifestyle now and in the future?]
Climate change (if there is a slight, slight measurable amount of it) would have an impact of exactly nothing on my lifestyle. Or put another way, weather change would affect me (ie – if it snows a lot, I’d be forced to shovel), but climate change is so negligible, there is no reason to be “affected”. The sky is not falling!
[3. Do you have any additional perspectives on climate action that you would like to express?]
Climate action is like spending a lot of money to make sure we don’t inadvertently make the moon go off its cycle by collectively making too much noise. It’s a big threat! Excess noise, scientists agree, could force the moon to crash to the earth. Outdoor rock concerts must now sell heavily taxed tickets to offset the booming. Cars with subwoofers must be banned from our roads. Also, every time you sneeze you pay a toll (fine varies from $0.75 to $2, depending how loud you sneeze).
But seriously, any action taken would be odious/expensive/completely unnecessary. Global warming as a function of human activity is fiction. The earth has had fluctuating climate cycles for millennia. The sun does it. (Other planets reportedly are experiencing slight warming as well as our Earth – who caused that?) Folks should protect themselves from looking foolish by not falling for this nonsense.
[5. What types of barriers do you think might exist that prevent more substantial action on climate change in our region? (Check all that apply)]
Other: Taking action is not only unnecessary, it would be harmful to human life in many ways – and all for a “scary” possibly 1 degree C per century temperature change.
[7. If you answered Yes, what climatic changes have you observed?]
Other: sometimes it’s hot, sometimes it’s cold, sometimes it’s in between (like the weather has always, always been)
[10. To be eligible for a draw prize, please provide the following information:]
Name: I don’t want a prize from people tricked by David Suzuki

  24. Answered all the questions, but they will not like my answers and especially my added comments. As I am in the Fraser Valley I did not select any of the proposed areas but did provide my name and e-mail. I made it very clear that they have no mandate to waste our money on imaginary things such as this. Of course I am sure to be outnumbered by all the moon bats living in the region, and it would probably be much the same for greater Vancouver. These people are totally disconnected from nature and reality that they appear to be hopeless.

  25. View Royal here…….Who needs to look at Victoria for a wing nut mayor, we have our own green freak here, retired bureaucrat Hill…..the worst of the worst for being a greenie…..and a tax and spender!

  26. I’m from Victoria. I mean it. I’m safely FROM Victoria.
Or rather, I thought I was safe. Then I read this questionnaire. Then I fwowed up.

  27. 2. What are your main concerns
It’s wealth distribution! All it does is stifle business and destroy the middle and lower classes so that a hypocritical few like Suzuki can pay for his three mansions and cross continental flights to tell the world about how horrible Canada is because we have to turn the heat on in the winter.
    3. Do you have additional perspectives
Yes! Stop pissing away MY money! Stop giving it to corrupt politicians the world over, hypocritical “activists” and community organizers that tell us that we’ll feel less guilty if we just pay more to not freeze to death in the winter! David Suzuki has a herd of cars, I only have one car and one apartment, why not go tax the living hell out of him for a change?
    5. What barriers do you think might exist that prevent more substantial Climate Change action
Well the problem that Global Warming isn’t real is a BIG barrier. When you want to redistribute wealth, any excuse will do though.
    7. If you answered yes, what changes have you observed?
Strangely enough, climate change is a perfectly normal part of the earth’s cycle. It’s in a downturn right now, things are getting colder, and if you look over the last 2000 years, you’ll notice that Britain used to be warm enough to support vineyards. It’s a little chilly to do that now, and people back then weren’t spazzing about Global Warming.
Ahh I love it when there’s no limit on the number of characters you can use to tell them just how stupid they really are.
