Actually, the attack on Pearl Harbour was a simple misunderstanding which could have been cleared up with the application of diplomacy and tact. The United States clearly overreacted. What’s the loss of a few battleships in the grand scheme of things? After all, the Japanese were actively engaged in peace talks with the Americans at the time that the attack took place.
Those with the mindset of Goldberg would embrace this type of statement.
That is precisely why they should be completely ignored.
