  1. Not sure what Sean’s policy on contests is, but I don’t enter them because they’re nothing more than rights grabs. Many of us wannabe’s have wised up to this little charade.

  2. Getting an image published in Nat Geo is akin to getting your picture on the cover of The Rolling Stone. (Dr Hook fans know)
If the bear is so worried his/her images are worthy of National Geographic then let us see. Where is your photo blog/website bear?
    btw, good work Sean.

  3. I suspect the comment below, from Sean’s site, was written before Miller time and McGuinty green time and LPC best before time and JC advised to sign Kyoto and Going Rogue kicks his ass and Ford has a better idea and have not becomes have and industrial heartland becomes have not and and … man O man we have come a long way !

  4. Texas Canuck, it may be an honour to get a cover but what good is it if you don’t get paid for your work? Sean is a phenomenal photographer and I certainly do not rise to his class but when the likes of John E Marriot, Darwin Wiggett and Samantha Chrysanthou tell me it’s a bad idea to enter photo contests because they’re “rights grabs” I tend to heed that advice.
    and just for you…

  5. I have four of Seans works on my walls that I look at and enjoy every day. I think I may just buy a couple of more.

  6. Thanks for the kind words (and the linky love), but I’m not in that league. Not even sure I can call myself a photographer right now given that I spend most of my days trapped in a store in Oyen cleaning malware out of everyone’s porn/mp3 stashes.

  7. @ron: I have two e-mails from The Jackal filed away. One is quoted on the photography site, and the other is a defamation notice he sent me back when I was a co-owner of polspy.ca and I managed to get on his tits, and then, managed to get him to blink first. I don’t think he realized I was the same person he threatened to sue when he sent the note to the photography site, so I put that up there mainly to tweak him. 🙂
