  1. I had to be out all day and missed the damn race!!
Congrats to JJ! I gotta give you some points toward him maybe being the best ever….. If he can get to the 80 win plateau, I will be in that camp for sure.

  2. Gotta give some major credit to that savant on the 48 pit box as well and the whole Hendrik’s organization.

  3. No one, I repeat, NO ONE will ever top Richard Petty. As awesome as Jimmie is, he’ll never be as good as King Richard.

  4. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Anybody but a Hendrick team!
Tomorrow will be interesting in NASCAR, RPM appears to be declaring bankruptcy, firing all employees, then immediately reopening again as a new entity. NASCAR isn’t NASCAR without Petty.

  5. The wife was pissed because I kept flipping the channel to the Montreal Toronto game. By the end of the race, she had the football on side by side.
Needless to say we were not rooting for the 48. Go Alouettes!
    Go Riders!

  6. More racing takes place in ten laps at Bristol than takes place over antire season of F1.
    Anyone but Hamlin!!

  7. Five in a row in this series is a remarkable feat. Beside the resources of the Hendrick team, J.J. and Chad Knauss have consistently been better at adapting to changing equipment and track conditions than any other crew. Five years running.

  8. Kudos to JJ but I’m still bothered by them dumping the pit crew and using Jeff Gordon’s crew to finish up the season. Tacky and not very “team” like.

  9. Congratulations to the #48 bunch. I’m looking forward to the 2011 Daytona 500 already, and hopefully a new NSCS champion a year from now.

  10. Richard Petty has 7 Championship Cups, and 200 race wins.
Next closest is 105 wins for David Pearson (retired).
Third are Bobby Allison and Darryl Waltrip with 84. (Both are retired).
    Fourth is Cale Yarborough (retired).
Jeff Gordon is now fifth at 82.
Jimmie is 9th with 53 wins.
He’ll tie LEE Petty with one more win.
He’s 23 wins (and two Championships) behind Dale Earnhardt.
5 in a row is IMPRESSIVE, and he’ll be a HOFer for sure…
But no one is ever going to top Richard Petty.

  11. Well congrats Jimmie. While a member of “put Jimmie in the wall” gang, one cannot help but reflect on the times the 48 was a lap or 2 down and got back to the front.
A life time #3 fan and now cheering on Jr. It is tough to watch.
On a bright note however, we are going to be watching live the Vegas race in March. I can only hope the Jr. nation has a win to celebrate.
