  3. Someone should redo that old Richard Nixon Poster with Obama’s face and the caption, “Would You Buy A Used Car From This Man”. He is without a doubt the best used car saleman that the USA ever produced.

Sophomoric, self-deluded, narcissistic man-child, festering with hatred and vengeance, bent on destruction of everything that the unsophisticated bitter-clingers value? Equally obvious. But it would take real insight and boldness to assert that these flaws of his reach the level of pathology? I wonder why someone around here hasn’t yet offered him that excuse.

    voters, business people, clientele of dozens of different professions, and the general public in myriad ways, all get sucked in by this thing.

  14. Be very worried people…After all, Jon Stewart said right wingers are irrational by being constantly afraid…We should party like the left, like there is no tomorrow…After all, “tomorrow” is for future generations to worry about…The “Ant and the Grasshopper” fable comes to mind here.
    OK, going back to being worried: For at least 40 years, universities have been pumping out thousands of “Obamas” that will soon take over.

    Right you are: He’s the first affirmative action POTUS; the first POTUS of the self-esteem-is-all-we-have-to-teach theory of education that now rules our grade schools, even some of our universities.

  17. Fact is, there have always been Obama types available for president. Going back into the 1950s, I’ve heard that Adlai Stevenson was a similar sort, but he lost twice to Eisenhower. JFK, such an iconic figure, in many ways resembles Obama and may have had twice the ego if that’s imaginable. Moving on, Hubert Humphrey narrowly lost to Nixon (of all people) and was the quintessential 60s liberal. McGovern failed to get elected after it became known (in 1972) that he was mentally unstable (too bad we didn’t get the same warning here).
    Carter is a known quantity, Mondale, Dukakis missed opportunities for mayhem. When we had Clinton, we got what you might call a half-Obama but at least that guy had a practical streak, as to hyper-inflated ego, well that would seem self-evident. Gore and Kerry, two more missed chances for liberal oblivion to set in … and now we have the convergence of bad karma, an incompetent narcissist with a foundation in the worst of all political philosophies, feel-good unicornism.
    But it’s nothing new under the sun, just an accident that was waiting to happen in DC, and which has happened lots of times around the world.
    Where we went wrong was television. The idea that good looking people are smarter and better managers of national economies is patently absurd and never occurred to people in the radio or newsprint ages, luckily for them — so they got to be ruled by average looking dudes (if that) which worked out fine.
    Generally speaking, when you move store window dummies onto a political stage, feed them platitudes and get the wymyn and feckless males to vote for them because they’re so cute, then you get this mayhem.
    Cute is for pets, not presidents.

  19. And now he’s written another book: Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters, as though he didn’t have enough to do taking care of business as POTUS/TOTUS.
    The U.S. economy is in freefall, unemployment is at an all-time high, people are losing their homes at an unprecedented rate, and Barack has the time to write a book — to his daughters? Oy vey.
    Narcissists never have a sense of proportion.

  21. batb don`t worry that clown didn`t waste any presidential time writing a children`s book. He can`t write a cogent sentence let alone a kids book. It`s just another diversion by the left trying to make Oblamebush look like some kind of intellectual philosopher king kinda crap.

    Much as I agree with you on most points, I believe Humphrey was an altruistic guy. He believed in the wrong things but was nevertheless,
    dedicated to his cause.
    McGovern wasn’t mentally unstable ( unless you subscribe to the belief that all liberals are, as I do)but it was his running mate Eagleton, that was the certified nut case.
    Kennedy, Kerry and Carter all were/are narcissists.
    Gore is just stupid.
