ABC News, Sept 1st – A radical enviornmentalist who took three hostages at the Discovery Channel headquarters while wearing what police may be explosives was shot and killed by officers, police said. […] In a rambling manifesto on Lee’s website, believed to have been written by Lee, the writer rails against “disgusting human babies,” “parasitic infants,” and says people should “disassemble civilization.” The manifesto also calls on Discovery to “broadcast to the world their commitment to save the planet.”
CBC News, Sept 1st – Police described the gunman as having “concerns” with Discovery’s programming, but would not elaborate. The concerns appear to be of an environmental nature.

  1. What we need is a media auditor.
    These entities are allowed to broadcast under a federal license. We should have a public media auditor who holds them to account for transgressions like this where the CBC is clearly not telling the truth.
    Yes I know that they have public hearings during license renewals, but they are far too infrequent and far to onerous for laypeople to participate effectively.

    didn’t just agree to do what the Moonbat Gunman
    demanded of them. Their viewers wouldn’t have
    noticed the difference. Nor would CBC viewers
    notice had he gone into a CBC building.

Hopefully they’ll go after Lizzy, Iggy and Jack… the way they did in 2000, when Stockwell Day was asked by a throng of reporters during the election whether he felt morally responsible for a Vancouver abortion clinic doctor (or staffer, can’t remember) having been stabbed, with one reporter asking Day if he felt that the suspect was showing support for his bid for PM.
    …but I won’t hold my breath.

  18. Lets assume that the crazed Lee was brainwashed by Al (psychopath) Gore’s AGW propaganda movie, An Inconvenient Truth. In looking for blame (ignoring his personal irresponsibility), wouldn’t the msm be as guilty as Gore for never exposing the multitude of lies in the movie that even a British Judge ruled on as a condition of use for public schools. One could say that Lee was the embodiment of the msm’s radical AGW hysteria. If only he had survived, he might eventually have been given a guest interview on The Nature of Things, for example. Maybe Suzuki will eventually refer to Lee as a martyr.

  20. For the first time I have become alarmed at the behaviour of the CBC. In the event of a major disaster, perhaps one that they have taken a “position” on in the past, am I going to get the truth, RIGHT NOW, when minutes count or am I going to have sort the truth from the spin…and in the process, is there a chance that this garbage can called the CBC might kill me or mine by virtue of their “Spin”?
    They are our National Radio Station. Y’know!! The go to guys in an emergency. If that does not give you the chills, you’re in a sauna.

    Their unfortunate problem is working around the “explosives angle” now. It seems like everyone can get the ingredients for large bombs every bit as easily as the ingredients for building a meth lab. Hard to register household cleaners, farm fertilizers and service station fuels.
    Which of course are all not exactly “environmentally friendly” but Al Gore likes a clean toilet, bread in the morning, and the ability to Jet to exotic destinations by noon………BIG bummer.

My preference would have been for this ecotard to have done some good before being Darwinially dispatched – how much better it would have been if he had taken hostages (and subsequently shot or beheaded them) at a network that deserves it like the CBFC.
