Mr Ignatieff and “homegrown” terrorism: Postmedia News re-writes news

Thank goodness for Google cached. Unless I have made a grievous error (always possible) there has been dirty work at the keyboard:

Rewriting news to protect Mickey I.?/Google cached Upperdate proves the point

  1. No surprise. I am suprised that Scott B. didn’t go on his knees for his leader today….oops that’s not PC correct.

  2. The Liberal lexicon does not contain “convict”.
And courts don’t acquit; judges or juries do. Lucky I didn’t go to Hahvard.

  3. Just more “Lieberal” crap. Iggy is so well equiped to head up a party of liars.

  4. Of course, Lloyd will get Fife and Ollie to discuss this Iggy gaffe in depth at 11…right? Canada needs Ollie to explain what Iggy really meant to say, just like Fife always interprets what PMSH had to say…

  5. We have enemies working everywhere, especially in media. Also in education, civil service and many union gigs. However, they are a mile wide, but only an inch deep. They have no real convictions, other than envy, contempt, personal weakness, low esteem, pessimism, their talking points and mostly … dependence.
They are weak and shallow. They cannot describe in brief what it is they want other than everything for free, world peace and their own condo.
Most Leftists don’t even know what their core philosophy is.
In recent years I have questioned a few Liberals about their core values and many of them suddenly realized that they were actually more conservative than liberal.
The Socratic method works well on them. They all think they know everything so if you ask their opinions instead of simply arguing general talking points, they will betray themselves pretty quickly. At the very least you can detect contradiction and call them on it. That really pisses them off though.
A peculiar side effect was that those who turned out to be more conservative, began to see that other conservative ideas were suddenly starting to make a bit more sense.
Reality makes sense, but you must drag some people to the top of a hill so they can see it.
I have hope. As with this journalistic slight of hand being exposed in the above post, more and more of us are looking up from our busy private lives and paying a lot more attention.
The Tea Party is the manifestation of that new consciousness. Conservatives and libertarians by default are more interested in their private lives, their families, education and careers than political burning issues. The left is absorbed in that crap from the get go. They have no other more important life to live. Like the Terminator “That’s all they do”.
Now they have competition at all levels of political arena including on the streets.
Interestingly, conservatives (the Tea Party in particular) are showing leftist America what genuine peaceful protest is all about. Those gatherings are left neat and tidy as the people take their trash home with them. You cannot say that about the piggy left. They usually leave a lot of garbage and broken glass, rolling papers and so on.
Okay, the drugs are wearing off now … I have to go. :0)

  6. Hiva Alizadeh, The X-Ray tech is no doubt one of the scanners that x-rays the scratch tickets his relatives sell at their convenience stores.
Opppsy…OLG doesnt want you to know about that scam!

  7. Yeah Iggy! And I recall the Liberal stance on the FLQ when they were blowing up mailboxes and people in Montreal. My sister was a vicitim, and although she wasn’t harmed, she witnessed an explosion where many people were.
Trudeau reacted with Army in 1970, but it was too late. Had the FLQ been sniffed out and arrested before the bombs started, Canada would be a different country today!

  8. I agree, it’s not about core values at all, otherwise how could the Muslims be part of the liberal-left coalition? It makes no sense, the more radical they are (and therefore the more celebrated by the left) the more they oppose all the values espoused by the left (outside their own homes and relationships, let’s say).
No, it’s all about entitlements. The biggest entitlement of all is the freedom to lie at will to achieve one’s position — and of course we know that this is part of the philosophy of Islamists in general.
We live in the age of lies, and to be honest, we all need to spend some time decontaminating ourselves because some of the lies have made inroads even among conservatives. I won’t start a food fight about it, but my guiding principle is that if leftists first thought of it, we should always oppose it. Sometimes we give in, abandon the fight and learn to like something that five years ago maybe we didn’t like as much. Just to get along — and that’s how it all starts for liberals too, because they are the kind of people who spent their teenage years desperately trying to be popular. It is a weakness that infects all of later life. The only person we should try to please in this world is the one who we will meet in the next world.

  9. Another example of the media tinkering with the facts to suit their Liberal agenda. When Iggy gets it wrong they fix it.
However, his exact quote is well out there,we better make sure it is spread about, people need to know where his head is. It’s not something one wants to hear from a person who aspires to lead the country by hook or by crook.

  10. Agreed. Well put Abe.
“realized that they were actually more conservative than liberal.”
This is exactly what I’ve been saying for a few years here. Conservatives for decades have been asleep at the wheel (probably too busy working) and have allowed liberals to define what the general perception of conservatism is. Personally, I blame this on the Boomer generation. Unfortunately, in a time of such largess, the aforementioned generation became so focused on the acquisition of things that they became oblivious to the damage being reaped by the public service and unions. So long as the $$ kept accumulating consequences became someone else’s problem. They outsourced parenting to day-cares and the TV, subjecting their kids to the socialist, abandoning them while their minds are being warping and their futures are being stolen. After all, consequences are for other people.
Only, and I say “only” after their own pocket books were hit in the recent recession, do boomers see the consequences. Now they mobilize and demand change! Now to the Boomers realize that their pensions and health care coverage’s are at risk; and only now do they stand-up in solidarity to demand liberty.

  11. Unbelievable. And they want us to be scared of Harper? I don’t think anybody in news today would rewrite or fabricate a quote to make him look better. This is truly disgusting behaviour by so-called professionals.
