This might not sound good to some but hire migrant workers when unions act like this. Pay them very well for their trouble.
Or- better yet- let the workers have an option of joining a union or not. I don’t want my money going into a union which supports this kind of nonsense and uses my money to do it.

Every two bit tin pot dictator can and will push their cause to the limit knowing that Obama is both weak and indecisive. As with Carter the despots and homegrown idiots of every description, longshoremen included, will keep coming out of the woodwork.
All we can hope for this time around is someone takes notes and makes those responsible for the turmoil pay, big time. Like the air traffic controllers, hammer the bastards, home and abroad.

Nobody has ever explained it better. What can we DO about it? Yeah, I had union gigs too, back in the day. Got dressed down for working too hard and too fast any number of times, sometimes by lifers who spent the entire shift in the locker room getting drunk, no BS. Hilarious in retrospect.

As long as it’s not too tabloid like the Toronto Sun, AKA like CTV/Global “Missing zoo animals”, “This man has not receive a welfare cheque this month”, “It’s really wet in Saskatchewan”(Leave weather to the weather channel) or even “This Vancouver man killed his family and then took his life” (Yeah, I sympathise but this kind of info is not going to affect my life. This should be reserved for local news, wherever it is).
I suspect Sun News will have some of this unfortunately. I only hope we will get a superior product than CTV Newschannel or rival CBC.

There is no ‘war on Israel’…boycotts are one of the only reasonable ways to voice opposition towards the actions of a group. Israel receives billions upon billions of dollars in funding, technological, financial, military, etc. and are in a global position that is arguably second to the US super power, whom they don’t really listen to either.
Unions, well that’s a whole other discussion…most represent what is wrong with this world…people who advance because of non-values (such as ‘seniority’) rather than for their abilities, skills, work ethic, etc.
