But the solution for the disaster, and therefore the lion’s share of blame, rests entirely on the head of the Chief Executive, Barry Obama.
It was Congress that barred drilling for available oil on the land mass of the U.S.A.
So let Congress get the blame, but only if the POTUS is willing to promote drilling on land in the U.S.A. as a solution.
Plus, there shouldn’t be any punitive carbon taxes to discourage drilling in general or energy exploration else it would be just another case of the POTUS calling the Congressional kettle black*.
*I pre-emptively denounce myself for any offence to any delicate PC sensibilities that may construe my use of the word “black” as referring to President Obama/Black Congressional Caucus or tar babies(which clearly I didn’t mention tar babies but one never knows where the Leftist blame induced mindset may seek to project it’s own skeevy prejudices)

Obamugabe has to be an idiot savant. The problem is that it is becoming very expensive as the areas where zero talents reside become apparent through on the job training and his perceived areas of real expertise constantly shrink.
Obama isn’t an ‘idiot savant’. Nor is he the ‘norm of the culture’. He’s a malignant narcissist, a deeply psychologically disturbed individual…who went into that state as a young boy.
He is unable to live in and interact with the real world, unable to interact and be with people. He manufactured, long ago, a Virtual World, in which HE controls everything that happens to him..rather than being the hapless victim of parents, grandparents, step-parents and so on.
But, regardless of the causes of his derangement, the result is someone who is unable to be a President, or indeed, to hold any accountable office. He can be a Community Organizer, following a script and ordering ‘his people’ to go out and do whatever. He can be a Senator and vote ‘present’. But he cannot, absolutely cannot, deal with the real world.
Therefore, is a real situation arises that calls for him to make decisions…he’s paralyzed. He has to retreat into a world where he alone ’causes’ situations. Not where the outside world causes them..but where he causes them and thus is in control.
So, he denies jihadist terrorism because it’s outside of his control. He ignores the Iranian nuclear bomb. He insults allies because they have power; he must reduce their power. Indeed, his agenda of ‘spreading the wealth’ is all about reducing the power of others.
He has to reduce the power of Americans – and so, he tells them they are ignorant, greedy, selfish and must..’spread the wealth’. Heh. No, it’s to reduce their power.
Obama’s only method of interacting with the real world, which he must control, is by tactics to maintain control. He can’t handle questions, criticism, accountability. HE has to be ‘the boss’ or he feels threatened. So, he is a pathological liar – remember, what is ‘real’ to him is only the words he says. There need be no correlation with his words and reality.
And emotional manipulation – he loves to manipulate a crowd into hapless adulation. And..if they question him, he’ll accuse them of bias: political, racial bias.
BP? Rather than deal with the results; the clean up – he’s run, he’s delegated it to others, without even telling them (eg Jindal) that they have ‘his’ authority. Indeed, he’s run so far that Jindal is begging for the WH to order federal assistance..and Obama ignores him. Obama ignores help offers from other countries..because he can’t handle the real world intruding in his virtual world.
More and more Americans are talking, asking ‘what is the matter with this guy’? They are trying to explain him away…’oh, he’s an intellectual; that’s why he’s so aloof’. Heh. No, he isn’t an intellectual. He’s a psychologically deranged individual who is being pressured by the real world and is running from it.
Will he collapse? At the moment, instead of working to clean up the spill, he’s busy whining, telling everyone that it’s not His Fault. Who cares? Obama does…because he can’t handle the real world moving into his virtual world where he alone is the author and sole writer of what happens in that world. So, he’s telling everyone he can’t ‘suck up the oil’. Oh? But he can show some concern and order all assistance to get it cleaned up. He doesn’t do this.
Will he collapse? Will the Democrats, who are starting to abandon him, try to maintain him until November? If they abandon him now, they’ll lose big. I suspect they’ll try to mount a smear campaign against Republicans and even Americans..to keep him protected for a few more months.
Will they try to manufacture an emotional situation to garner sympathy for Obama?

Phantom armchair prophecy for the next five years: either there will be a new “1968 convention” event where forces from the political center oust the fruitbat Left, or the Democrats will essentially cease to exist after the 2012 election. This will leave the Republicans as the new center-left party, challenged by the Tea Party from the right.
Either way, a very acceptable state of affairs IMHO.
Barry of course will not win the Democrat nomination in 2012. He will be impeached, resign in disgrace, or be forced out by losing the most rancorous primary season in American history.

It’s becoming more common knowledge that there is something seriously, psychologically, wrong with him. The attempts at first to derail this suspicion by claiming he was ‘an intellectual’ and therefore legitimately lived in a separate realm of reality, are fizzling. Equally, the attempts to deflect criticism and questions by suggesting that such stem from an unconscious racism are also being ignored. There’s something wrong with him.
I’ve repeatedly explained my view. Now, what’s going to happen? It is clear, now, that Obama’s insults to western allies and his support for the unsupportable (Zelaya of Honduras, Ahmandinejad of Iran, Chavez, and his denial of the reality of Islamic terrorism)..are all attempts to reduce the power of those with self-generated power..and align himself with those seeking power by somehow suggesting that their increase in power is due to him. That is, in both cases, his behaviour was about him.
This hasn’t worked. The western states have been shocked by his insults but haven’t submitted to him but instead ignored him in Afghanistan and Copenhagen. The rogue states haven’t been attracted to his sweet words but have increased their individual power and ignored him and the USA.
Internally, Obama’s agenda of weakening the individual power of American citizens, with his attacks against Americans for their ‘greed, wealth, ignorance’ have led directly to the Tea Party movement, Town Halls and have resulted in a growing movement against Washington.
Then, there are the various ‘situations’. Whether it’s unemployment, which Obama tries to hide with fake new jobs (part-time census workers) or bribes and buy-outs in attempting to control the election candidates…Obama can’t deal with these issues.
The Gulf Oil Spill is a perfect example of his inability and refusal to deal directly with situations. If Obama can’t control the causes and results of a situation, he will reject its reality in his life.
What is fascinating is – what’s next? Will he break? He’s starting to..with his almost daily snaps and whines that he’s not responsible for the Oil Spill. Who cares?
He’s responsible for ensuring it is cleaned up, and he can’t deal with it because he literally, actually, cannot deal directly with reality. He lives in a fantasy world of words detached from reality…and demands on him to interact with the real world are beyond his capacity.
He’s blaming each and every for all problems. He’s into more golf and parties.
More and more Democrats are running from him, refusing to have him at their primaries and even, campaigning against his policies.
What’s next? I suggest the backroom gang who run him are still focused on inserting their statism into the US before he falls. How will they do this?
And, they are going to have to find Obama some non-elected World Govt Position that they can ship him off to before 2012. There’s no way they can have him run in that election.
What about the Clintons? Do they abandon him or simply, as Bill Clinton seems to be doing, simply move in to the front and leave the golf, the parties and preprogrammed photo-ops to Obama?

Being merely an armchair theorist myself, I wonder, is it even possible to neutralize Iran’s nuclear facilities with conventional air bombardment? Aren’t the facilities built deep inside mountains? Would a nuclear “bunker buster” be able to breach? In that case you would then have Israel using nuclear weapons preemptively, precipitating who knows what kind of response. On one hand I guess Israel could be forgiven for thinking it would be impossible for the world to hate it any more than it already does, so do what you have to. The Lefties, by never treating Israeli issues reasonably, have pushed Israel into the position where concern over how the world might react no longer carries any weight. They already know how the world will react to anything they do or don’t do, or even contemplate doing. Their very existence is what drives the hatred of them.
At the same time, Kevin, I feel that it is Iran that wants war – and Iran has been trying for the last five years at least, to push both the US and Israel into attacking it.
Iran has an imperialist agenda. It’s not about Israel; it’s about the Arab States (Iran is Persian not Arab). Iran wants to control these states.
It is setting up an alliance with Turkey, part of a deal that IF Turkey doesn’t mess up with Iran, THEN, Iran will leave northern Turkey and the Kurds – to Turkey rather than trying to intrude in that area. And Iran has set up Turkey to run that flotilla against the blockade of Gaza. But Iran wants Saudi Arabia ..which is why SA is publicly declaring an alliance with Israel..And Iran wants Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt. Israel is merely the cover for these ambitions.
Obama, the pathological, with his desperate need to reduce the power of the independently powerful – such as Britain, France, Germany, etc…which he does via insults…and his need to set up non-powerful states to rely on HIM to increase their power (Iran, Palestine, Honduras, Venezuala etc)..has destabilized the world.
He’s actually enabled the rogue states to increase their power – and they certainly don’t feel any gratitude or obeisance to Obama – and has created an international morass where the slightest spark will set off an explosion.
Iran wants war against it, so that it can jump in, declaring it defensive rather than offensive, and move against the Arab States. Obama doesn’t see this; he’s too self-absorbed and too focused on trying to control his Virtual World.

I’m abit more than an armchair therorist but I tend to agree re the effectiveness of conventional munitions versus hardened sites.
However it’s not what is reality or what we think.
It is what the House of Saud and Isreal’s politcial class think. Isreal has had the “Sampson Option” for a long time and have been loath to use it.
OBOZO diverted the convention bunker busters from Isreal to Diego Garcia…..narrowing Isreal’s options.
The EMP threat we are so aware of….is the solution. It will shut the lights out from Ankara to New Delhi…..disable all Iran’s high tech toys and nukes.
Most likely Isreal’s military is EMP hardened….hopefully.

Israel (notice the correct spelling, Sasquatch), knows that its only real support these days comes from much of the Anglosphere and the majority of the American people. They must see the current US Administration as unreliable and potentially hostile. Within that context they likely will not move on Iran other than with a conventional (potentially costly) strike that would hopefully only delay the Iranian programme until the White House contains an Ally. The real risk is the level of intelligence on the current state of Iran’s nuclear capability. If Iran has capability and launches, then of course there will be much sand turned to glass in both nations, something the Saudis and other Arab nations may be perversely counting on? A signal that Iran is getting close might be stepped up activities of its proxies in Lebanon and Gaza to serve as a diversion? Other armchairs?
We in Australia also have a narsasistic egotist with allusions of grandeur in charge. It would seem that it is a sickness that has beset our world our IIC {idiot in charge] has gone from money in the bank to a debt that will take a generation to pay for.
