  1. ‘bama’s legacy will be much like Trudeau’s:
Just like a big, rotten fart, the stench lingers on – and the stain can be bloody hard to get rid of.

  2. Once all the outward targets have diminished enough, the guns will turn inward, and the battle will be won!

  3. You don’t have to ‘Nixon’ your opponents with a ‘Rea-gun’ when an ‘Eisenhowitzer’ will do. More simply you can just ‘Carter’ your rubbish across the Potomac to ‘Ford’ the river.
I’ve heard that ‘Roses are svelte’ but if you want to be a ‘Truman’ don’t behave like an ‘Obama-Nation(tm)’ you need to find some real flowers among the ‘Bushes’.
So don’t do a ‘Clinton’ with your ‘Johnson’, when you ‘Kennedy’ find your wife.
If its ‘Harding’ then I ‘Grant’ you’ll want to ‘Coolidge’ down. But this has been going on since ‘Adams’ met Eve. So have some ‘Taft’ and polish up your ‘Lincoln’ with the ‘Cleveland’ engine and don’t get some pig in a ‘Polk’.
Then you can drive down ‘Madison’ Avenue with ‘Monroe’ by your side on your way to ‘Washington’.
Then you can sing this tune on date night:
I told that girl I can start right away
When she said listen babe I got something to say
I got no car and it’s breaking my heart
    But I’ve found a driver and that’s a start
Baby you can drive my car
Yes I’m gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
    And maybe I’ll love you
    Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
    Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
    Beep beep’m beep beep yeah
    Beep beep’m beep beep yeah

  4. More and more Americans (despite the best, or rather worst, efforts of the Democratic Party and the MSM, their Ministry of Propaganda) are having something analogous to what Alcoholics Anonymous calls their “moment of clarity”.
Obama & Co. ultimately ARE the real problem, not a solution for anything. Unless and until the Democrats take back their party, which has been captured by the hard left, they cannot be trusted with the Presidency. Moreover, every member of Congress or candidate should be forced to articulate his/her views, without BS. He/she should also constantly be held accountable by his/her electorate.
Last, and hardly least, this requires far more of the American electorate to be responsible, get themselves informed (not indoctrinated), use their brains and be active Citizens, not passive Sheep. This would be a helluva sea change, but history shows it can be markedly more attained during times of national crisis than at any other.

  5. This news is almost on topic and almost off topic. I just heard on Foxnews that Harry Waxman cancelled the 3rd degree hearings he was going to subject the corporate CEOs, such as John Deere, Caterpillar ET AL that were objecting to their increased health care costs.

  6. Although it is refreshing to read the fact that some Americans are starting to wake up, there is a much more troubling issue that needs to be resolved. There is something very troubling about this statement from the recent poll: “Democrats predictably go for Obama by an 86/10 margin”. How can this be?
The danger to America is not so much Barack Obama but …

Keep in mind the danger to America is not so much Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier for us to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America today. Blaming the prince of fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who after all, is merely a fool. However, America is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president. Remember, they will work diligently to keep him their prince. It will be up to the rest of us to see to it, that he does not win election again.

  7. Jamie I think you are right.
It certainly has taken years to rid Canada of Trudeau’s horrible influence, and it is still a work in progress that may take another 100 years.
My hope however is that our dynamic American friends will be able to correct things more quickly in the case of Obama.

  8. I think Americans are realizing that who they elect as President or which party rules is pointless as long as Washington is run by the ‘Dempublican’ party. After each successive election the faces change but special interest agendas continue take precedence over popular will regardless of what was promised in electioneering.
“The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy.”

  9. I would be much more encouraged by the poll if the numbers added up.
Nevertheless the Americans are facing a choice of Pierre Trudeau or Joe Clark since the Dems and the Repubs stand for the same thing in every way but degree.

  10. What Brent Weston wrote.
Obama is clearly a destructive device in the political machine but who put him there? Idiots, that’s who. Even now, these aforementioned idiots are STILL celebrating his “genius”. In order for the tide to turn, the smarter electorate will have to outlast the more stupid electorate.

[…..Watch what happens to those Obama poll numbers when the first Iranian nuke goes off.]
Yeah…ya know it just might be worth it….
    Seems inevitable anyhoo….
I figure the Iraians are a lot closer than you think they are.
Like it’s not like they have to reinvent the wheel….nuclear weapon design is not that secret. It’s mainly a matter of spinning the weapons grade stuff out.
The Iranians have now mastered making uranium hexafloride…..the rest is just time and the number of centrifuges.

  12. “W” has his presidential library in the works down at SMU in Dallas. They’re already holding conferences. Cough up, cheapskates.
