  1. Don & his Marxist type, so love the serial killers & Perverts. They cry tears for the monsters that kill the innocent.
The truly disgusting thing about these moral pirates is the mockery they have for us with normal desires.
And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,
Rom 1:29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
    Rom 1:31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;
Rom 1:32 and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

  2. I can’t understand the lack of respect I see here for the CBC – one of our greatest national institutions, with a long history of tepid, near-excellence. The CBC is a national treasure. We should bury it.

  3. This is not a new CBC tactic. Over 20 years ago, I was asked to be on the CBC news to talk about an issue that involved a group of which I was a member.
I had a long phone conversation with a CBC producer, who had called me, and arranged a babysitter, because a reporter was going to interview me in my home the next day. The next morning, the producer called to say that there would no longer be an interview.
When I asked why, he informed me that the person on the opposing side of the issue wouldn’t be interviewed with me, meaning, he said, that “there’s no story.”
I informed him that, in fact, there was a story and it was the one that I was willing to tell.
No go. Definitely censorship — and of the worst kind, because the CBC dissembles and pretends that they tried, or hoped, to have an interview but it just didn’t work out.
    What scumbags.

  4. batb
    The pattern continues.
The CBC was/is not intent upon showing your side or Nicks but publicizing the agenda of “the other side”. Because they are the other side.

  5. Deep six ’em or privatize.
Waste of our tax dollars including that ombudsmen, who just rubber stamps the most contrite form letters ever circulated.
Imagine the economic stimulation to our economy if that amount of money was off the budget? 1.3 Billion – that’s a good chunk of change, per year.
    SELL CBC and fast.

  6. Very interesting batb.
There was a time when the CBC touted the idea that stay-at-home caretakers should get paid for their time.
The fact that they had made a claim on your time and then didn’t use it should be actionable.
    Just sayin’.
Maximum disruption and all that Kinsella strategy stuff.
They owe you according to their own accounting.
It could make good blog fodder if you were to hold them to their own standards.

  7. I was one of the few callers that made it onto CBC Newsworld right after the Gomery findings were released. My point was that we needed another round of elections in Quebec because of the stolen money that could have swayed close ridings. The hosts thanked me and appeared bemused . A few callers later, another gent got on and said that I took the words out of his mouth, another election should be forthcoming. CBC did not take any other calls.

  8. It’s a source of constant amusement to me, the extent to which leftists, including the CBC, will go to try to rationalize their glaringly obvious bias. “We need to present both sides of the issue” (rubbish); “We don’t like to release information not intended for the public.” (LOL); “This isn’t news.” (guffaw); “We don’t want to be hurtful.” (snigger); “This isn’t the issue Canadians are concerned about” (snort). It’s a pathetic litany of childish excuses to hide their true sentiments from the public (not buying it) and from themselves (too embarrassed and immature to know or admit to themselves who they are). Why not just be honest and come out and say, “We’re a bunch of leftists. We’ll spin the news any way we can to further our agenda. And we don’t give a damn who or what gets overlooked or twisted in the process.” At least I could admire honesty — better than these grade school excuses for shirking the job they claim to do on the taxpayer’s dime.

  9. “but said they could only put him on the air to tell his story if they could find a representative of “the other side” for “balance.””
So they want to have some guy with a machete on for “balance” then? Does this mean they intend to start broadcasting Daniel Pearl type beheadings? I don’t think I want to know the answer to that…

  10. freedo @ 6:28- Thanks for the great quote from William F. Buckley….”The purpose of an open mind is to close it, on particular subjects. If you never do you’ve simply abdicated the responsibility to think.”
It certainly bears repeating,… Unfortunately the mush heads continue to wander aimlessly in oblivion.

  11. What else can anyone expect from this coagulation of poofters and dykes. No surprize here!

  12. In spite of the CBC choosing to bury this story, it continues to run its self-promotion ads between programming:
CBC News: Experience the difference between being informed and being WELL informed!
CBC News: Know more, know now!
Not sure if those are intended to be knee-slapping humour or fall off your chair humour.

  13. Bob LeDrew, if I’m not mistaken this is about the CBC’s decision not to do an interview with the attacked student. No one’s arguing they deep-sixed the story.

  14. The CBC has basically quit accepting comments, then they can pretend no one is interested in the story and wipe it off the page.
