Y2Kyoto: The Greenpeace Militia

The climate fascists are getting restless…

Emerging battle-bruised from the disaster zone of Copenhagen, but ever-hopeful, a rider on horseback brought news of darkness and light: “The politicians have failed. Now it’s up to us. We must break the law to make the laws we need: laws that are supposed to protect society, and protect our future. Until our laws do that, screw being climate lobbyists. Screw being climate activists. It’s not working. We need an army of climate outlaws.”
The proper channels have failed. It’s time for mass civil disobedience to cut off the financial oxygen from denial and skepticism.
If you’re one of those who believe that this is not just necessary but also possible, speak to us. Let’s talk about what that mass civil disobedience is going to look like.
If you’re one of those who have spent their lives undermining progressive climate legislation, bankrolling junk science, fueling spurious debates around false solutions, and cattle-prodding democratically-elected governments into submission, then hear this:
We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work.
And we be many, but you be few.

Maybe. But I’ll wager we have more ammo.
Update: From the comments – “It’s not like they didn’t warn us…”

  1. Yikes, a whole lot of collective greeney hate going on there. At any rate, Happy Easter to all…

  2. From their comments section, it doesn’t look as if it’s going too well for them.
The one commenter who said “You are a total F###ing idiot” has my vote.

  3. Great post. Click on the link and read the comments. Almost all the commenters are appalled by the article:
“May I suggest that you clean your own house, kick out the progressives who co-opted your organization for their lame political agenda and get back to protecting earth and living creatures from REAL threats, (like wind turbines that kill 100,000’s of birds each year all over the world or biofuel mandates that will eventually starve the third world.)”
I think Greenpeace has pissed in their cornflakes on this one.

  4. Might I suggest they sell their vehicles, eliminate all air travel, cancel their electrical and gas supply contracts, as stop using power hungry cell phones. That will show the man who has the power.

  5. Doesn’t look like they are getting a whole lot of support in the comments.
Greenpeace doesn’t realize what it means when the sign says, “Don’t feed the wildlife”. Up to this point the world has pretty much tolerated Greenpeace, I believe it is soon though that the ordinary public will unleash their frustrations on them.

  6. I’ll wager we are not as ‘few’ as the civil disobedienters think we are. Their mumbo jumbo has been exposed and they have nothing but their hatred for our wonderful western culture to run with. The climate is functioning as is it should … lot’s of weather with some surprises … as always.
Their side has Al Gore and some discredited pretend scientists along with many unscrupulous windmill hockers looking for tax money …. and we have reality and the strong human desire to protect out way of life.
Too bad about Dolton McSquinty blowing billions on the S Koreans big windmill scam in Ontario. That will be watching that big ship sink for about twenty years with nothing but a huge debt and a tax flogged public to show for it.

  7. As I predicted months ago (http://illiquidassets.net/?p=222)- Let the Meltdown Begin! Lets see how we are progressing…
First Step is a ratcheting up of over-the-top anger and really stupid statements – Check
Next Start Eating their Own by Attacking Each Others purity of Cause – Check (Greenpeace has started questioning funding sources or other groups)
and Right on Schedule I might add.

  8. “We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work.”
Please come to where I work and start a drum circle out front to terrorize us. Just expect to walk with a limp for the rest of your lives.

  9. “We know who you are. We know where you live. We know where you work.”
If they did know that, of what use could where I live be except to threaten me and my family?
I’m so hoping they act on their threats. Then it’ll be on.

  10. After all the lying and over-the-top shrill rhetoric has clearly failed radical environmentalists, direct action is the only card they have left to play.
(they seem to have forgotten that they were trying to stampede people into supporting them with threats and now they are planning on being the threat?)
What they don’t seem to understand is that most people are ambivalent toward environmentalism until it starts to cost them and then people get active.
If the environmental activists are the ones who are costing them, ambivalent people will throw support in with the other side.
    (our side)
Meanwhile government is going to be jealous about keeping it’s own monopoly on the use of violence because it happens to be how it maintains the right to govern.

  11. Let loose the “killer rabbits of war”, they will make short work of anything leafy and green.
Ahem…watch out for the rolling tombstone.
Poltical composting Greenpeace has now turned into ‘mulch’peace. They should spread themselves into the gardens of normal people.
Oh death where is thy sting? Ah yes daffydils rising.
Greenpeace to the composter of life, and HE is risen.
    Happy Easter!
    Cheers

    Army Group “True North”

  12. Reading that blog and the comment section made my day. Obviously the AGW crowd are becoming desperate and I luv it. Let these loons pull their hair, stamp their feet and rage on. I enjoy the spectacle immensely.

  13. They can bloody well bring it on. There’s nothing I’d like better then an excuse to kick and environmentalist in the balls

  14. Their cash donations must be closing in on zero. Now they are trying to replace the hippies and tree huggers with people who like to flex muscle (as long as they are part of a crowd) to intimidate.

  15. What are they going to do? I mean, we know they don’t have any guns (did you see the crossbow they used against the whaling ship?). So they’re going to protest by not buying anything, and move to the woods? Good riddance.

  16. Let’s get them all a dry cleaning bag and demand they demonstrate their commitment of zero CO2 emissions by putting them over their heads to capture their CO2 discharges.

  17. I enjoyed the comment about “lazy green bitches”. Made me think about Suzuki.

  18. We’ve had restraint forced on us by the RINO contingent. Please…Please…Please attack.

  19. I would bet for greenpeace. Western governments are thick with the stupidity of the environmentalist movement and the environmentalist wackos are fanatical in their devotion to this cult. Plus, if they started violence, the Liberal mainstream media would be stuck having to report it, thus proving indeed the Leftwing is plagued by violence. Remember, the mainstream media, under orders from the White House are doing their best to link the tea party people with Nazis, Klansmen, and general thugs and killers. They can’t be allowed to show the obvious – that the majority of violence comes from the Left and that our President had his career launched in the livingroom of two Weather Underground terrorists.

  20. I’m glad that you have firearms in your home, and live in a part of the country that doesn’t frown on that. Stay safe Kate, but don’t stop being defiant.

  21. Nothing like a recession to impede the momentum of the anti-industrial revolutionaries. It must be tough on hysteria pimps when sales are down. I wonder if the German auto workers union payroll deductions are still their largest funding source?

  22. Cowards won’t allow my posting. Damn how can I get them to come to me? I need the target practice.

  23. Sixteen years ago the Canadian co-founder of Greenpeace wrote that this was happening way back then. But our beloved Canadian media ignored him and, instead, fawned all over our resident crazy from Kitsilano Beach.
[I wrote this little polemic in 1994 after many years of fussing and fuming about the changes that had come over my beloved Greenpeace. In retrospect it seems a little harsh but it gets the point across. The essay was published in this form in Leadership Quarterly, 5(3/4), 1994] Patrick Moore
In retrospect, Patrick, it is not harsh at all.

  24. >>”killer rabbits of war”
Shouldn’t that be “killer tomatoes”? After all, they ARE veganuts.

  25. “Watching environmental green meanies implode” might become the next reality series on TV.
Of course, they’d need a new cast each season–and that’s just one of the selling points!

  26. Well I am sure Dr. fruit Fly is pleased . . . he won’t have to bother arresting us now.

  27. The first step to losing a “battle”is to underestimate the size of your adversaries.
Up until now I have been part of the silent majority..have never posted any comments..just watched and learned..I do not believe that I am unique..
So,Mr.”green”,(with your playground banter)..two simple words to you and your ilk…”bring it”. D

  28. Thanks for reminding me, time to pay the Wildlife Federation dues and get to the range. Nice and warm now, no excuses.
Remember kids, burning ammunition produces CO2, and CO2 makes the green things grow.

  29. There are plenty of little fascist cowards in the world and plenty of them align their desire for recognition with groups like ELF.
They’ll vandalize property and commit assaults on the unwary.
They are useful tools for others with a broader agenda.
Some of them go under the laughable banner of AFA… an oxymoronic acronym if ever there was one.
Right up there with progressive left.

  30. So what is Janet Napolitano doing about this, oh I forgot all those violent Tea Party folks are rioting in the streets and must be destroyed. Alleged spitting would seem to be a bigger threat than someone calling for climate outlaws disobeying the law. And where is the outrage from the New York Times, Times Magazine, Newsweek, and the rest of the MSM?

  31. I would hope CSIS takes these guys seriously. It doesn’t take much to disrupt power lines and pipelines, as long as the Greenpeace Freedom Fighters can make homemade bombs, they can do some serious damage. We have thousands of miles of exposed power lines here, and any shithead with a rifle can create havoc.
Remember the infamous “Squamish Five”, a bloody joke, but we have lots of enviro-whackos who still think they’re heroes. I worked with a guy back in the 80’s, B.C. Forest Service, who blurted out one day,”those guys were my heroes”, and apparently many of his friends thought so too.
We can enjoy making fun of these people, but they CAN do significant damage, and again, I hope CSIS and the RCMP are keeping a close eye on them.

  32. FYI. Over at Greenpeace Juliette has decided to yellowstreak and withdrawn from the field of battle… The comments were 46:1 acerbically against the neurodeficient psychopath who wrote this feces-brain of an article…
“The above blog entry is about encouraging civil disobedience and non-violent direct action – the kind of nonviolent methods that liberated Gene’s country from imperialism – in the face of a global threat to our planet’s climate.
While I encourage and appreciate discussion, the comments I have received (including around 30 not approved), death threats and hints of rape aren’t the kind of things that will be approved here.
I am closing the comments for now – a decision that may or may not be changed in the future. I apologize to the people who came here for honest discussion about Greenpeace’s tactics. Hopefully I will be able to re-open the comments soon to have that kind of discussion.”

  33. The Watermelon that wrote the crap, has shut down the comments due to the heat he was getting.
Me thinks he was not prepared for the push back that slapped him up the side of his dumb head,

  34. I’m not sure whether the objective of the rhetoric, like Bin Laden, is to promote active conflict, but it’s certainly doing it for me. No more Mr. Nice guy when I have some lefty waving his hands anywhere near my face. I’m just plain tired of putting up with this Socialist BS, Socialist BS, that if left unchecked can turn into Hitler, Chavez and other mass murderers.

  35. Comments have been closed on the Greenpeace site- it seems some AGW skeptics took offense at Greenpeace’s threats and responded with some spirited invective (me included)
    NUKE THE WHALES
    PAVE THE PLANET
    LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL

  36. dmorris you are of course correct, these people are truly unhinged and dangerous. Somehow I see the powers to be blaming the conservative movement when these thugs lash out.

  37. To what end?
Even people who have no dog in any fight will root against you if you are a self-righteous jerk, particularly one who thinks trees are more important than people.
    Happy Easter.

  38. Has anybody brought this article to the attention of the Human Rights Commission?
If nothing else, it should keep the HRC busy for a while.
If this jackass author was from somewhere other than India, it would be fun to watch.
Turn these bastards’ tactics back on them.

  39. Don’t these morons understand that they are calling for criminal disobedience, not civil disobedience?
