So you thought it was hard to find foreign doctors, eh?
Just you wait.
“Dennis” nails it (in the comments):
Obamacare contains a critical contradiction that is bound to result in the total collapse of the American health ins. industry. As the Martin Feldstein article in a November Washington Post article points out, if the fines for not buying ins. are set too low, it’s financially advantageous to pay them and forgo ins. altogether.
Since the bill prohibits health ins. providers from denying ins. based on pre-existing conditions, it may be cheaper in many instances to wait until you are sick before getting coverage.
This will set in motion a progressive unbalancing of health ins. whereby the pool of healthy people in an ins. scheme becomes swamped by the sick. Premiums must therefore skyrocket. But since Obamacare also promises to slap price controls on health ins. the system is set to become vastly unprofitable. At some point not too far down the road, the whole health care ins. system in the U.S. will utterly fail like Chrysler and GM.
At that point, there will be increasing calls for the outright nationalization of the whole mess, which was Obama’s goal all along.

There is a silver lining for Canada.
As America’s heath care will eventually become like ours, & everyone else’s on the planet. Who lemming like bought into this con known as government care.
Perhaps many of our own Doctors will come back home.
Since they won’t have an advantage anymore?
Not to long before they have a full blown HRC that will not believe in sanitation as real too.
Doctors will become forced Government employee’s as here. Canadian Dr,s might as well go back home to family.

No, our doctor’s won’t come back. SEveral million Americans are being moved into a system already short of doctors, and really short of doctors willing to treat Medicaid patients.
The change will come for us as we are forced to compete more aggressively with the US for foreign doctors to fill our respective doctor shortages.
The next wave will come as high school graduates make decisions on what profession they choose to enter. As I keep saying, “nobody needs to be a doctor”.

No, our doctor’s won’t come back.
Your probably right. If only because of the climate.
As for new doctors ? Yup, why be one when you can earn money & have some independence if smart enough. From the shadow of government. It will be the incompetents that take the real skilled places in this field. As standards are lowered in Panic to a failed system. Just like devalued currency. So will medics progress downward into ever lower levels of professionalism or knowledge.
Without the US & its advances as you say it will deteriorate even faster here now.
