  1. What a complete arse-hole… People actually vote for him ? Wacko Jacko knew exactly where that camera was and weaseled himself into position for a “Look at me!!” moment… Wacko Jacko would push his wife in front of a bus or off a dock if he thought there was a camera near by… I didn’t notice if Jack-ass Jack’s act included rolled up shirt sleeves… What an insufferable prick!

  2. Didn’t G’s charge for admission to the bar for the game broadcast?
And … were not that bunch of anemic little poseures clustered arounf Laytoon the whole time?
Gotta wonder if the whole bunch were not his little clutch of cadamites……..

  3. ‘While both Harper and NDP leader Jack Layton, attending the game in person and being seen at Toronto sports bar Gretzky’s, respectively, were featured often on CTV’s broadcast, Ignatieff was nowhere to be seen on Sunday.’

Now we can see “Harper-NDP merger” logo soon if budget percentage benefit all people,
Similar we saw so many “Molson and Coors merger” in past worked fine, if they cut the alcohol percentage to zero to benefit all.
Being politician is not bad difficult boring job after all
Just gave them a break could you?
Perhaps Mr. Ignatieff is not man of show emotion of too sad or too happy to public
Tough man like Old Orthodox Russian way
My guess is that Mr. Ignatief is real vocation since they do not have March break vocation.
Now let them enjoy their vocation and cheering this not going to last for ever for too long
When they back to work and they need to review all unemployment insurance and job hunter and welfare and debt over Olympic remaining and etc by calculate all budget number we should see those “wonder” faces, they still have lots of homework not finished , left to do.
By then just gave them happy break time

  4. Seeing Layton slither his way through the crowd to the camera reminded me of watching a weasel scooting along the old rail fence in a popping up, dropping down, now-you-see-me, now-you-don’t movement. Next thing you know that varmint is at the hen house door with his mind on the chickens and the eggs. That weasel ends up in a conibear trap.
Jack’s story ends with his mug on television. Too bad that woman whose arm he forced down didn’t crank him one – pop goes the weasel Jack.
    I do like surprise endings.

  5. I don’t know folks.
I’m looking at this and it was a montage of celebrations across the country. Pre-recorded from the goal that had come moments (minutes??) before.
Not to be conciliatory, because, frankly, JL would be the absolute WORST THING TO HAPPEN to Canada if he even came close to power, but it looks like he’s gently moving the girl’s arm out of the way to see, perhaps, the replay?
Aw, hell, I’m defending Jack Layton. Somebody shoot me….please.
It would be nice to have CTV footage of that moment when the actual goal was scored to see if they did cut to an immediate reaction shot at the bar JL was in. That would answer any questions about his motives.

  6. Olivia looks pretty freaky, deaky happy though. Then again, so would I have if a cam had been pointed in my direction….at work… heh.
    Her reaction seems genuine.

  7. Saw the video on CTV’s Power Play. Kudos to them for running it. However, it was of Olivia’s arm being pulled down. Not as impactful as when he did it to a complete stranger. Seems to me it was an attempt to mitigate the damage against Jack. No doubt, had it been Harper, the clip with the stranger would’ve been run, with plenty of criticism around the panel, saying that it could have a negatve impact on him and that it’s just another reason why he has trouble appealing to female voters. The National? Didn’t see it there. Again, it wasn’t Harper, so no story as far as Mansbridge is concerned.

You sure won’t need a passport to prove you are Canadian 😉

  10. jon better have another look It is the girls arm Not Olivia’s As Olivia is wearing a white sleeved shirt. Girls is barearmed.

  11. I saw Olivia Chow in one of the live shots and knew this idiot wouldn’t be far away. Face it, his contact at CTV told him where they were going to be, and where to stand so he could be seen. NO ONE ELSE felt the need to drag someone’s arm down to see. Just Jack? Please…not only is he an attention-whore, he’s rude. I would have told him to f-off. He was confronted about it on CFRB1010 this morning and got kind of shirty. Bummer when these things backfire, eh Jack? BTW, unless I am mistaken, this bar isn’t even in his riding. There was nowhere there he could go? Oh wait, nowhere WITH cameras!

  12. Don, Stephen Harper is Canada’s Prime Minister.
    There’s a difference.
It’s unfortunate you can’t tell the difference.

  13. I’d like to hear an interview with the the woman Jackoff manhandled, and get her response.
Maybe no big deal to her. But we read a lot more..actions spesk louder than words???
