Further to Publius’ excellent post,
Whisper the Iggy
one hasn’t seen the Mickster actually make a clever point since his effort at risorgimento. The sad thing is that before his return he did seem to have “principles” of an intellectual sort. Now he has none. He’s degraded himself in a most pitiful fashion. Earlier at Daimnation! (link city alert!):
The Second Coming of Mickey I. is in…

He’s degraded himself in a most pitiful fashion.
Indeed , he is the Don of the LPOT .
Linky no worky .
Does now.

Ottawa
and to make Iggy’s problems even worse than those inflicted by his personality, he has Kinsella for a Consigliere.
Nice boat anchor Iggy. Mind the shoals.
linky no worky
PeeAir was a commie who was smart enough to know that he would not be prime minister as a commie or a dipper, so he sold himself as a liberal, and did so quite effectively
I iggy, is essentially a conservative, but knew that top dog spot in the conservative party was taken, so he’s trying to sell hisself as a lieberal. But to make things worst for iggy, he’s also an academic trying to sell himself as a leader, which he is NOT. So he has to hurdles to jump over, and is falling flat on his face in the process, suceeding in achieving niether goal.

I can think of several good reasons for never voting for Ignegative. The largest reason is his choice for advisers. Who would vote for a leader that picked WK and Coderre?
the very visceral reason i(as a B.C.er)am repelled by the igster is that he is palpably a pussy….lester pearson was a diminutive squeaky voiced kind of guy but he had eggs if you know what i mean…..and turdeau ?…gotta respect the man’s guts…
this igster tho…he’s a nonentity…a cipher….a bisexual kinda political nullity…with zero charisma…when he tries to instill his lecture with any passion it always misses the mark..always sounding stilted..feigned..
insincere…like the poor f##k for such he is is just going through the motions…(which he is)
in a lifeboat he’d be the first one to assume the leadership role was his by divine right and of course he’d be the first one forced over the side…
we’re talking survival here and there ain’t no room for ‘enthusiasts’..
RE: “he’s also an academic trying to sell himself as a leader” —
I think there is justice in his apparent failure. The Liberal party deserves its low showing in the polls because of their plan to just graft a “big star” onto their disfucional, power hunger, Toronto centric party and that Canadians would just jump on board. OI think the failure is as much the fault of party organizers as it is Iggy’s. Their attempt at manipulation is an insult to grassroots Liberals as well as all Canadians. Liberals need to take back their party. Good luck to them.
I think he is being ‘dionized’. Coderre built the Liberal machine in Quebec. The party always chooses French-English PM’s in order. Iggy now has his successor to deal with and it isn’t Coderre.
