The White House comments were the latest indication that the administration had miscalculated from the start its ability to turn Mr. Obama’s campaign trail speeches into reality. Some of his senior advisers have privately concluded that it was a mistake to set a deadline just two days after taking over the White House, when they still did not fully grasp the enormous challenges involved in closing the prison.
Gee, just think, Obama only made 500 odd campaign promises, that makes 1 down 499 more disappointments to go. As for Gitmo, send all the inmates to San Fransisco, they’ll fit right in with the rest of the crazies.
He does not care about Gitmo any more, as he could not off-load them to anyone. It is a non-issue now that they are probably not torturing anyone, anymore. His health and other social policy issues are time-limited, as the Senate will be more R next time.
My impression is that the honey-moon is past.
The town-hall meetings have beaten the democrat congresscriters and senators in submission and only the implacable fools such as Pelossi and Frank remain to back the fool’s agenda.
All OBOZO has is what he can do with an executive order….and one mis-step there and he is toast.

Don’t know if any of you listened to Adler today. I did and I was quite disturbed by what he had on, on the one hand. On the other hand, I was encouraged.
What he played on his program today was the speech by Israel’s PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, to the United Nations General Assembly. It was a remarkable and striking speech that all, and I mean ALL – on earth should read or listen to.
In the last couple of days we have all been subjected to the ratings of Amadinnerjacket, Qu’adaffy duck and Thugo Chavez but who in the media has given us Netanyahu’s most elequent speech -sides FOX – that is?
Ya – no one. The western media is complicit in the sh-t that is about to happen in the Middle East.
Why was I encouraged, you might ask. I am encouraged by the fact that the Israelis will do what the free world has no stomach to do – deal with Iran – and make no mistake about it – deal with Iran they will. And they will do so because Obummer has no balls nor WILL to do so. He is NOT a supporter of Israel – never has been and never will be. History will bear this out to be true.
BTW – Obummer is somewhere in Europe putting his and Oprah’s “substantial weight” behind their bid to bring the Olympics to, where else but, CHICAGO!!!!! Talk about the “weighty state of affairs!”
I’m sure they’d be there if the Olympic bid was for “Dallas Texas”.
In the meantime – His top General in Afghanistan has spoken to O once – only once – WAIT !!! let me say that again – ONCE to his commander-in-chief in the last 70 days about that war. The military assessment by those in charge of that war is that if they don’t get some serious help out there……. well……. the US will have another Vietn……….
