The demise of the last rear wheel drive, full size, American car is a sad event. I don’t look forward to being arrested, and thrown into the back seat of a damn Ford Focus.
Ken needs to realize he used up his last shot on GM. There is nothing left to bail out….
The CAW is insane, they are doing the same things that led to the last problems. Unless of course they are being perfectly ratinal and expecting a bankruptcy to lead to government assistance and then to ownership.

Pretty funny having the partial owner of GM (CAW owns a piece) trying to negotiate a contract with FORD. I’m sure they will be fair in negotiations and not try to force an impasse.

As long as I can remember the ritual between the CAW and the big three was premised on the principle of parity. It was like watching a roulette wheel as you waited to hear which of the big three was going to be the initial “target” of the contract talks. The inevitable agreement was then heralded by the CAW as the benchmark for the other two automakers to come into line with or face a walkout.
Ironic isn’t it?
i dunno…it almost sounds as though drdawg is negotiating on behalf of the CAW….
i’ve heard over 6.000.000 workers have died because of industrial disease at Ford plants over the last century…
could the good drdawg(or as i address him “Dr.Poodle)please illumine the environment in his own (and i REALLY mean this)inimitable style ?
