  1. The new Liberals – “We’ll Steal Less Next Time”.
Posted by: shaken at September 7, 2009 12:55 AM
That is a good one ‘shaken’.

  2. gord,
I, too, smell the “aroma of rat”…maybe it’s just what’s always in the air when one reads/hears about ‘Iggeroff’…
Maybe it is Boob Rae that’s the “bouncing ball”..

  3. The way I read it Igster is to be laid back and mellow while WK does the hacking, slashing, and dirtbagging. I heard WK referred to yesterday so he must be oozing out from under his rock.

  4. i liked the “I”brow comment ….iggy is going to cost candians another 300 million for an election ..and unltimatley seal the liberals fate ..and assure a majority govornment for the tories …i WILL be send a good chunk of change to the tories ….and know that it is money well donated.

  5. The Liberals are in the denial stage of their political greiving. Marzollini is trying to pump them up telling them 46% of Canadians want a Grit minority or majority (yes he actually added the two totals).
They should be rethinking their election play. When Canadians are asked whether they prefer a Tory or Grit majority or minority (hint: not NDP or Bloc), Tory majority land is 60% want Grits in power.
Yes the ads are cheesy, saying WE can do better. How would anyone know, unless the subject is EI.
Maybe many think as I do: Who the f**k are you to say you can do better without presenting anything resembling a platform?
Maybe Ignatieff doesn’t expect either a majority or a minority. Actually, a plurality of Grit/NDP over Tory will do just fine, enough to get rid of the hated Harper.
Anyway, even if they lose, by denying Harper a majority, the ON Tories will get rid of him for them.
So, let’s roll the dice – we can do better – after six months of briefings, appointments and parties, that is.
By then, of course it will be WE, Gilles and Jack too, can do better.
That reality and seminar style public non policy won’t cut it on the election trail. Oh, yeah, Bob Rae wrote their platform. That’ll be the death of any coalition rumours, right?
Bring it on Mr Ignatieff. I, for one, can’t wait.

  6. cal2 I noticed the ‘brow also. Do you think the MSM will analyse the change ad naueam the way they did when PMSH changed his hair style?

  7. Gee, one bland little ad and the haters are in full force.
You guys need to learn something, but won’t: these ads are designed to be bland and ‘nice’, so that attacking them seems obnoxious. The idea is to help Harperites expose themselves as hateful rednecks.
    Well done, and well done.
At least PM Ignatieff will embrace you guys once he wins, something that Harper has NEVER done to his political adversaries.
Canada’s experiment with Rovism is almost over…finally….

  8. “At least PM Ignatieff will embrace you guys once he wins, something that Harper has NEVER done to his political adversaries.”
The only time Liberals embrace anyone is to get their hands deeper into that person’s pockets.
I can remember Libs back to Trudeau; they have had nothing, NOTHING, but contempt for conservatives, both large and small ‘c’. There is nothing in Ig’s mighty thin resume to suggest that he will be different. In fact, to keep the Rae knives out of his back, he will have to hold us in even deeper contempt than Rae does – if, in fact, contempt can go that deep.

–I guess the Liberals exposed themselves as hateful rednecks, then, when they attacked Harper for being bland and nice and wearing a sweater in an ad.

  10. Hey I was trying to watch the Eskimos beat the Stampeders when TSN played an ad with the funny looking guy we’ve been talking about, you know the guy with the feigned grin and worn down teeth.
He must be really really important ’cause the whole forest revolved around him.

  11. A most predictable position for the Libranos. We’ll approach India and China.
To do what? (of course, not said)
To see if they want to outsource some jobs to us?
(a washroom stall lurker is going to need a job soon)
To see if they want us to outsource some jobs to them? (they already have huge unemployment problems themselves)
To see if they want to buy our natural resources?
    (they already do)
Count Igula, selling us an empty brown bag of air.
    He can do better.

  12. Looks like we’re on the same wavelength, cause I said the same thing on my blog late last night, not having seen your post… though I picked the flag of Monaco, fits in more with His Royal Iggyness’ European fetish!

  13. No fall election. Move along. Nothing to see… but a furrowed eyebrow and a sense of Liberal entitlement.
