    You’ve got one 35 year old here who went to bed as a kid listening to the Hooked on Swing and Hooked on Classics cassette tapes. My parents well versed my brother and I on different musical genres and I have already started my soon to be 2 year old daughter.

  7. You can ask my wife to verify, but I have said many times that I wish we still had big band venues to go to. Unfortunately they wouldn’t last a year and they would just turn into another dime a dozen night club.

  12. that’s the first_time_ever, that I have seen The View, and had a crazy grin for the duration… Thank you to Michelle Malkin. There just wasn’t enough time for those crazy people (well, especially the 2 on her right…) to get enough words in. Love it.

  13. Ken, Knacker, all, it was quite a time during the Gershwin years. George Gershwin and Yip Harburg (Brother Can You Spare a Dime, Somewhere Over the Rainbow) met in school in NY due to seating based on alphabetical last name spelling
    And I believe in Gershwin/Ravel representing the handover for classical music from classic->jazz, best seen in Ravel’s piano concerto, here performed by Lenny Bernstein – you can feel both influences.

  14. Just watched Michelle on The View and it was like children and one adult. Michelle rocks!!! The View of the year!! Obots and Michelle and she kicks butt. Loved it!!

    Michelle Malkin, smart lady and a class act, surprised they even had her on this show.
    She was great considering what, where and whom she was with.
    Those other woman are way out of their league with ‘what’ Michelle’s findings are. So embittered with their stuck on stupid talking points lies -evil Bush, it’s all his fault, illegal war, and etc they’ll never be sane enough to handle the current truths. But then again they can afford to believe anything at all, and it seems they do…

    The US military said on Monday it wants to speed up production plans for an enormous “bunker buster” bomb, amid international concern over underground nuclear sites in Iran and North Korea.
    The Pentagon has asked Congress for extra money to ensure the massive ordinance penetrator (MOP) would be ready by July 2010, spokesman Bryan Whitman told reporters…
    The weapon, weighing in at 30,000 pounds (13,600 kilograms) and carrying 5,300 pounds (2,400 kilograms) of explosives, would be delivered by the radar-evading B-2 Stealth bomber.
    The MOP, believed capable of blasting through 200 feet (60 meters) of reinforced concrete, is seen as a potential weapon against nuclear facilities in Iran and North Korea that are mostly buried underground…

    More than 60 prominent German scientists have publicly declared their dissent from man-made global warming fears in an Open Letter to German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The more than 60 signers of the letter include several United Nations IPCC scientists.
    The scientists declared that global warming has become a “pseudo religion” and they noted that rising CO2 has “had no measurable effect” on temperatures. The German scientists, also wrote that the “UN IPCC has lost its scientific credibility.”
    This latest development comes on the heels of a series of inconvenient developments for the promoters of man-made global warming fears, including new peer-reviewed studies, real world data, a growing chorus of scientists dissenting (including more UN IPCC scientists), open revolts in scientific societies and the Earth’s failure to warm. In addition, public opinion continues to turn against climate fear promotion. (See “Related Links” at bottom of this article for more inconvenient scientific developments.)
    The July 26, 2009 German scientist letter urged Chancellor Merkel to “strongly reconsider” her position on global warming and requested a “convening of an impartial panel” that is “free of ideology” to counter the UN IPCC and review the latest climate science developments.
    The scientists, from many disciplines, including physicists, meteorology, chemistry, and geology, explain that “humans have had no measurable effect on global warming through CO2 emissions. Instead the temperature fluctuations have been within normal ranges and are due to natural cycles.”
    “More importantly, there’s a growing body of evidence showing anthropogenic CO2 plays no measurable role,” the scientists wrote. “Indeed CO2’s capability to absorb radiation is already exhausted by today’s atmospheric concentrations. If CO2 did indeed have an effect and all fossil fuels were burned, then additional warming over the long term would in fact remain limited to only a few tenths of a degree,” they added.
    “The IPCC had to have been aware of this fact, but completely ignored it during its studies of 160 years of temperature measurements and 150 years of determined CO2 levels. As a result the IPCC has lost its scientific credibility,” the scientists wrote.”

  30. I had that “View” show on yesterday and thugh I wasn’t really watching I did catch the girls during the ‘moral equivalency’ debate. I did not realize it was Michelle Malkin,I thought it was that other hot Asian babe that was on there,Lisa Ling,something like that anyways. We have smart,attractive babes on our side,MM,Ms.Coulter,Palin,to name a few and the leftoids have Whoopi and Rosie. It is no wonder that they are so bitter.
