Blog Notes

Meet the new kid on the block.
lucy_pup.jpg
Having decided to hang around his roomy apartment an extra week or so, he was a little too big to make his entrance the old-fashioned way, so new-fangled way it had to be. The new wing at the vet clinic will have my name on a plaque.
I head out on a road trip this weekend (well, the rest of the week, actually), and though I should be able to blog on occasion, things will be slow. The guest bloggers are invited to drop by, but if they have better things to do, check out the blogroll.

  1. Nice pic. It reminds me of that famous illustration/optical illusion where the viewer can see either a pretty woman in a flowered hat or a old peasant lady in a head scarf.

  2. So does this mean you just paid for a good part of the building?
Remember to put a surcharge on his stud fees when he matures. ( to mitigate his whelping cost)
    The plaque seems appropriate.
    Good pic, nice pup.

  3. A well deserved break, Kate.
I often link your posts in emails to prominent Canadian Journalists. Some respond often, acknowledging the quality of sda, democracy needs the truth and other such complimentary comments.
Other journalists, while often responding on other topics, usually remain silent when confronted with a sda link. They have no reasonable response at all and simply hide behind silence. Till CHRC silences sda ?
As the LaBlanc fiasco shows, the Lib/Media conspiracy is a clear and present danger to Canada. Pierre Burton said the CBC is the glue that holds us together. More like a straight jacket.

  4. How many other blog site hosts are on no fly lists or have been intimidated as to such. Important issue to those who travel outside the country on a regular basis. AJ mentioned he could not visit Canada, which is very interesting. Bob Rae restricted in Indonesia. Sure would limit the dog shows. Is this “list” a libel???

    What?
And Kate, nice looking pup! One of the things I look forward to when I retire from the navy is to be able to have a dog again. Single sailors and pets are not a good match.

  6. He’s not sad, Osumashi Kinyobe, he’s sleepy. Newborns of any species are never sad; they learn that later.
Um, Question @11:40 – yes, what “no fly list”?

  7. Warm puppies…. nothing better in the world… I still remember when our youngest terrier was small enough to fit in my hand, and already an incorrigible pisser

  8. “he was a little too big to make his entrance the old-fashioned way, so new-fangled way it had to be”
a doggy caesarian or just vet assisted?

  9. From JJM’s dog (old miniature schnauzer retired to the Ontario countryside):
Any day there are more schnauzers brought into this world is a good day. Arf!

  10. What are you going to name this one? Minuteman’s I Love Lotteries? Smoooth Savings? 🙂 Sounds like another expensive baby!
