Fritz,
You are making very broad and sweeping generalizations.
I will say this for poor dumb miserable Rosie: At the beginning of the second clip she CLEARLY refers to “the Jimmy Carter Error”.
re. Kate @11:27AM – I take the point, but Baba Wawa is an idiot all the way to the bank on this one.
In days of old – Kings & clergy ruled the courts, minstrels & fools entertained them.
Today – the minstrels and fools are the kings of the land, the leadership considered the fools.
We empower them.
Fritz – Is this parody? Were you trying to sound even less rational than that idiot Golberg?
“I alwyas laugh when I hear that the Christian right is ant-science because they question Darwin’s theory of evolution as it does not match the bible.”
That’s because most (but certainly not all) arguments against the theory of evolution do not involve any scientific foundation or methodology. That is not to suggest that Creationists are foolish, stupid, or even wrong – just that their opinion comes from faith, not science.
“Yet the looney left are full of people who question the moon landing, believe 9/11 was an inside job, think the government is covering up the arrival of aliens at Rosewell,”
The stupidity of those three conspiracy theories is hardly restricted to, nor representative of, “the left”. I think you’d find that many (most?) conspiracy wing-nuts prefer Ron Paul to Barack Obama.
” think aids is a CIA plot to kill gays, drug users and promiscuous blacks,”
I’ll give you that one.
“think aborting late term babies is OK because they are not yet real “persons”,”
Good Lord, what does this have to do with conspiracy theories or anything else in this discussion?
“think man made global warming is true because the earth is warmer now than when they were children,”
This is where you veer into total stupidity. There are certainly many reasons to question the prevailing “climate change” orthodoxy (and this blog is a good resource for such info), but to suggest that there isn’t significant scientific evidence (valid or not) supporting the concept is just moronic.
“thought planes would fall out of the sky and nuclear reactors explode because of Y2K,”
Or for goodness sake! You’re just randomly throwing out stuff that has nothing to do with left/right political views!
“Scratch a lefty and get an anti-science bigot.”
Erm, sure, whatever.
