Regardless, the point is NOT that Republicans are good and Democrats are evil…there is more than enough “evil” on both sides.

The dinosaur media and left are in full ‘put a final end to Palin’ mode. Anything viewed as a threat to Obama will be taken down with great vigor. However, I do enjoy the ways that ‘push-back’ happens against lefties and the the Jurassic media in situations like this ‘alleged comic’ and the Letterman incident. Watching them awkwardly stumble about offering half-hearted apologies is hilarious. They can’t operate like they have full immunity anymore.
I wouldn’t agree that Palin “milked” Trig on the campaign. I think she did the only thing she could do: she refused to hide him. And because of that he became, of necessity, somewhat front and centre,
From a political perspective, Trig was certainly a curve ball she wasn’t expecting, but she did the right and proper thing, she accepted him full tilt in the public eye, and in doing so forced a good many people to face their own biases and prejudices with those that are less than perfect.
At the same time, she told unknown legions of Americans that it was ok to have and love a child, publicly, that wasn’t ever going to be “normal”, and, she gave them some hope that their lot in life might be better. Obama gave them a joke about the Special Olympics.
I believe Sarah Palin went into the campaign with a MUCH higher opinion of the average American than she probably now has, based on her experience with the resilience of those that live in climates that can kill you.
I would suggest that those who don’t “get” Sarah Palin, don’t know strong can-do women very well. Many are criticising her for not “acting like a man” in the political arena, without truly understanding that they come at these things from a very different place.
While she entered the campaign with more naivete then was desirable, a large part of that came from a misplaced belief she would be treated with a degree of dignity that is the norm where she comes from. Fool her once…
I respect her immensely. I see talent in her that’s reflected not in what she knows (and I expect its a lot more than what she’s given credit for), but what she knows to do.

These attacks on Palin are merely class smearing. She can’t walk the walk and observe that all-important “style” one needs to show their cultural perfection. Those chattering coves whom make fun of the middle and lower classes. The Presidency of USA or CEO of Lending institutions belong to them alone. Above all you must never, never speak the simple truth, or smile when you talk. All of what you say must be quirky tongue-in-cheek innuendo; showing your slick urbanity. Sarah the hick, the bimbo, just doesn’t have it.
A lot of this is veiled jealousy. Many of these Uberlefties just wish they could hunt a moose, or fly over the beautiful Alaskan wilderness, or simply have a loving family – impossible if you want that newer better bimmer.
What I seen in Sara Palin is an honest unpretentious demeanor. She exudes plain straight-forward no-nonsense opinion and honesty, although without the slickness of Barack and Bill.
She will not attain the Presidency, she is not sufficiently intellectual, but she will be very effective at supporting the trampled right.
