If people around here can’t even bother to refer to President Obama by his proper title, Lookout, then civility has nothing to do with it. When Mr. Bush was president, the left went crazy. Now that Mr. Obama is president, the right has gone crazy. And, of course, the left is still crazy. Bushitler! Obamessiah! Frankly, I’m beginning to think that all you crazy people deserve each other, and I’m beginning to become less concerned about whether or not the species survives at all. Fortunately, as long as it does, we still need good late nite radio disc jockeys, so at least I’m not completely sick of it all yet.
Total non sequitur, Vitruvius: my comments today have had nothing whatsoever to do with Obama. They initially had to do with supporting a fellow SDAer who was, it seemed to me, being bullied by you—out of the blue, for nothing he had deserved in any way. (And you compounded the problem by using his respectful responses as a springboard for more put-downs. I found your rudeness to Revnant Dream appalling.)
(Re Obama: If I were speaking to him personally, I’d address him as “President Obama” or “Mr. President.” Pollyannas and other misguided types might not like it, but calling him the Big Owe, the Obamessiah, etc., is perfectly legitimate POLITICAL commentary. Ask Kate.)

I was nonpluussed by your comments – I could not see any connection between Revnant Dreams SN and Greg from Dallas’ comments regarding metaphysics and your assertion of apocalypticism. As far as I am concerned, metaphysics and the Apocalypse are completely different topics.

Here is my theory of what “it” is – Beer Blogging – Can happen to the best of us. Have done it myself.
In my view, the worst comments toward others have come from Yawn. I found them to lack any semblance of substance and made entirely of nothing but acrid sarcasm and prepubescent mockery.
I enjoy both Virtuvius and Revnant Dream’s contributions. I especially like the “Dinner Table” debating atmosphere on this site.
