Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

That is brilliant!
Why is no-one arguing for Geneva convention protections for these poor understood souls?
Yes, I know why, I mean the dingbats on the far left.
For some reason, I’m reminded of Obi Wan Kanobe’s reference to Port Isley(?), “You’ll never see a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.”
I laughed myself feeble…the subject material and delivery are dynamite…the penwork is compelling.
This is one of the funniest cartoons I have seen in a very long time – Thanks for posting it – you made my day!
At least they didn’t get taken to Guantanamo, eh?

Have you people no sympathy for the poor Somali pirates? They are but honorable folk fighting against injustice.
Huffington Post???
When this obscure far-left blog ( Huffington Post)got recognition as a bone fide news media….we all knew we were in trouble.
Wow…those lefty “social justice” types sure have some strange bedfellows.
So, the Somali pirates(or, as my brother, who did a tour in Somalia would say…child murdering, qat chewing scumbags)can be added to the list populated by such leftard icons as Mao, Stalin, Che, Castro, Hamas, the Taliban and Huggy from Venezuala….
Nice company you keep, you idiot leftarded dippers!
….so a pirate walks into a bar….
…He hobbles up to the bar, sits down, and orders a drink. The bartender looks him over and can’t help but wonder if this man is really a full blown pirate. So, the bartender asks him, “Where did you get that peg leg?”
The pirate replies,” Argggg, I fell off me ship, and a crocodile bit me leg off. That’s why I have a peg leg!”
“Oh, ok,” says the bartender, “but why do you have a hook for a hand?”
“I was fightin’ me enemy and he sliced me hand off with his sword!”
“Wow,” says the bartender, “and you know I’m gonna ask, but how did you get the patch on your eye?”
“Well, see. One day I was out raidin’ merchant shipping and I looked up above and there was a seagull over head that shat right in my eye!”
“Whoa, whoa whoa… your eye is gone because a bird crapped in your eye?” asks the bartender.
“No, I wasn’t used to the hook yet when I went to clean me eye.”
I’m just a poor prairie soul with dust in my eyes, however I’ve always been led to believe that once you are out of your coastal boundary and into international waters, you are no longer protected by your country’s charter, constitution, etc.
The solution is simple. Identify the enemy ship, warn them, if they refuse to comply, open fire. End of story.
Somali, want a cracker ?
With all the multi-culti madness around us, one would think there are no more surprises. Still, every now and again, we can be astounded by some new demonstration of moonbattery. Here, for example, is an excerpt from a Waterpeg Free Press reader’s letter which justifies the Somali pirates:
“Many of these “pirates” were once fishermen, but with no permanent national government to stop foreign fishing vessels from exhausting the fish supply and dumping toxic waste off the Somali coast, they were left in dire economic straits. After attempting to board foreign ships and exact (what they viewed as) fishing taxes, the Somali fishermen quickly realized that more money was to be made from pirating.”

I sprayed grog all over my monitor…. Har!
There’s an OK book out there called, “THE PIRATES”, by an author I can’t remember. An interesting read.
He points out the most successful pirates as……chinese woman.
Second place as disgruntled americans/englishman in the Caribbean.
“Many of these “pirates” were once fishermen, but with no permanent national government to stop foreign fishing vessels from exhausting the fish supply and dumping toxic waste off the Somali coast, they were left in dire economic straits.”

“Many of these “pirates” were once fishermen, but with a feckless national government, they had elected Liberals, to stop foreign fishing vessels from exhausting the fish supply and dumping toxic waste off the East coast, they were left in dire economic straits. The Maritimers had no choice, after Alberta’s falling fortunes, but to become pirates.
And after all, it was a growth industry what wit Obama da Hopeful becomin’ the first Black Precedent of da United states…..
Thirteen men on a dead man’s chest…
Yo Ho Ho an ‘o bottle of Rhum…
Drink with the devil and you’ve drank wit’ da best…
Yo Ho Ho an a bottle ‘o Rhum!
Francis Drake walks into a bar and the bartender says, “Get ye hence ya foul pirate ye!” and Drake proclaims, “I’m not a pirate ya barnacle bitten jug jockey, I’m Buccaneer!”
The bartender asks, “What’s a Buccaneer?”
Drakes says,
“It’s a terrible price for corn!”
Hook head is just a pin head who fell of his camel. They should smarten up,take the money and run. Crispy critter time on the beach is coming later if not sooner.
Oz, that’s a great take on the quoted letter from the freep, but don’t blame me for the quote. I was just the messenger.
I’m not blaiming you, felis corpulentis. I was just having some fun.
“to stop foreign fishing vessels from exhausting the fish supply” should have been cod banks.
Meanwhile Canadian ships catch these pirate pricks and let them go free…. the world laughs at socialist Canada and career criminals can’t wait to move here …. c’mon Harper, show some balls.
