    Must say the analogy of Camelot has always confused me. Arthur’s best friend cheated with his wife and he was killed by his son who was also his nephew. That is not something to aspire to.

  18. This outrage is all so very, very principled. I remember when the rightwingnuts were up in arms when Chris Matthews gushed about G.W. Bush, “sometimes it glimmers with this man, our president, that kind of sunny nobility,” or labeled a Bush speech “brilliant” before Bush had even given it, or said of an already unpopular Bush, “Everybody sort of likes the president, except for the real whack-jobs.”
    He’s a bandwagoner and a gusher of purple prose across the board. Has been for years. Fluffed for Bush relentlessly, too. The idea that this is somehow special to Obama, or characteristic of a liberal media, could only be spouted (honestly, that is) by the utterly blinkered or the those with grossly defective memories.
