Prime Minister Invites Provincial Premiers and Territorial Leaders to a First Ministers Meeting on the Economy
Building on the productive discussions of that meeting, Prime Minister Harper issued an invitation today to Canada’s Provincial Premiers and Territorial Leaders for a follow-up First Ministers’ Meeting, to be held onJanuary 16, 2009. This day-long meeting will be accompanied by a session with Aboriginal Leaders on economic development opportunities for Aboriginal Canadians.

sauce?
“the beat goes on” godspeed Mr. Harper
cheers Bubba
Prorogue for the big meeting?
Cue the imperial theme music.
This assuming he is still PM.
The bulk of the comments herein provide the perfect example of the truly undemocratic tendencies of the Radical Left: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/12/02/f-vp-spector.html
Here’s a typical one (such brain surgeons on the forums there at CBC News!) :
We don’t need another expensive election to add to our financial woes. The fact that the electorate who did or did not vote did not and do not understand the process is like saying not reading the fine print of a contract and then whining about the outcome. There is a process in place for this contingent. It is bad enough that Harper wants to rob us of our votes by changing the rules for funding of political parties, he now wants to steal the constitution as well. He screwed up face the music and get on with it.
the prorogue’s a cookin’
I am now a watcher of QP noontime entertainment. ‘unf***ing believable’ I never even considered watching the political spectrum of parliament until this fall. Canadian, US elections and now with the QP. The world is falling apart and you get the ‘3 stooges’ up their with their insane ideas. I have to admit that PMSH is one of the best spokespersons I have ever watched. He always shows amazing clarity and calmness when speaking. Thank you very much PMSH, you are doing the right thing, keep it up and work for us Canadians.
As classy as they come. While Mr. Bean salivates at the prospect of sniffing around 24 Sussex, the big dog carries on with the business of Governing.
Iberia, if we all chipped in to buy you a ticket to Communist China, would you accept our generosity?
I’m somewhere between 62% – 100% convinced that your undemocratic world views would fit in well there. And don’t worry, they do have Internet. Just keep your negative comments away from the Chinese gov’t and focused on the Canadian one and you’ll be fine.
Watch for the cries of “arrogant” at the thought that he is planning for anything after Monday.
BTW – the latest talking points from the cabal of losers, Bob Rae, Dawn Black, Keith Martin and Peter Julian all said on MDL that the uproar is part of the Tory machine – a fan out of calls and letters spouting the same phrases and wording and that ordinary people love the idea of a coalition
Write these four arrogant idiots and Mike Duffy and tell them that you are mad and they are lying to Canadians. I am boiling mad.
Someone needs to put together a montage of Dion’s best screaming incohe-rants in the House for Youtube.
It’d be a million-viewer.
One word sums up PMSH: GENIUS.
Hey Iberia, who looks like a statesman now and who looks like a four year old screaming for a lollipop?
Breaking: Communist Party Endorses Tree Comrades Coalition :

It’s not “iberia” but L Beria, as in:

…and obviously a troll.
Robert W – North Korea – not China.
I just watched a horrified Jim Travers, Daniel Lessard and Don Newman (CBC tv) come to realization that another election is probable.
What a bloody surprize for them.
Liberals stuck with Dion again.
Iggy getting cold feet working with a bunch of sore losers that have escalated an ordinary election loss into an national crisis.
Can’t you just imagine Harvard Iggy in the same room with Pompous Jack Ego?
I studied at the Trudeau School of Canadian Politics.
Kick them while they’re down.
This coalition, should it take power, would have just 23 seats of the 95 west of Ontario. Just 24% that is. And that’s the THREE PARTIES COMBINED!! Worse, a Liberal PM would have only 8 of those 95 seats, or just 8%. How can that be good for national unity, especially when he’s attempting to take power the way he is and the deal he’s made with separatists to give more money to Quebec? How can Dion be so selfish?
I’m a Conservative. Great.. get on with business.. but, in the meanwhile, give an honest explanation for the bullshit coming out today regarding Stockwell Day and Gary Chipeur. Inquiring minds deserve to know.
Posted by: Kate at December 3, 2008 6:33 PM. You bet Kate. Their was an incident in QP where he had his fingers out like claws. I was looking at it and the first thing that hit me was a man clawing and grabbing for the public purse. He was really quite vocal at the time.
Hey Iberia…..I see that the Communist Party of Canada has endorsed the “coalition”. Seems you are in “good” company. What a laugh!
My bursting aneurism is derived from Duffy etal telling us that the groundswell of emails, phone calls and talk radio is yet another VRWC Tory concoction. We’re just foot soldiers taking marching orders from the Tory war room. Wrap it up with a random act of vandalism on a Government owned sign, and, well, you just don’t know what those right wing ideologically driven Conservative supporters will do next.
I just threw up in my mouth a bit.
LBeria. There’s a huge difference. Iberia is a peninsula in spain, L Beria a noted communist a-hole. lberia is as well.
Thank you for that glorious tip, Marie! I expanded it a bit here: http://pelalusa.blogspot.com/2008/12/communists-endorse-le-cabal-de-trois.html
Gord, my mistake. Thank you for correcting me!
I saw Lessard and Travers too, rickyt… it was awful! Lessard is pitiful! He said “I never heard so much Quebec bashing in my life as I have over the past few days” (repeat on Newsworld at 7:30PM ET). So for
Lesssard, it’s wrong to accuse a separatist party of being a separatist party. You should just submit, capitulate and hand over the keys to power them, otherwise you hate Quebec. Travers agreed and added that Harper has blown all good favour among Quebecers and has destabilized the country. Not the coalition of course. And Newman, who usually interrupts those who make outlandish and unfair comments, sat back in his chair in abject silence. Didn’t challenge anything said, particularly the comments by Lessard for which he owes PMSH and every CPC MP an immediate apology.
“…a bunch of sore losers that have escalated an ordinary election loss into an national crisis”
Comment of the night.
Sums it up perfectly.
Harper’s advisers have to go. This Mr Rogers delivery style is patently phony – how about some passion, Steve.
This afternoon I heard a U. of T. Law Professor talking about the decisions the GG can possibly make. He kept on repeatedly using the words “Constitutional Legitimacy”. I understand why and I fully understand its meaning but surely there is another type of “legitimacy” that deserves equal, if not more, consideration?
Since I’m an engineer and a numbers guy, let me help her out:
Math Primer for the Governor General
————————————
Choice #1: Give control to Le Coalition
Constitutional Legitimacy = 100%
Democratic Legitimacy: 0%
Choice #2: Force another election to be held
Constitutional Legitimacy = 100%
Democratic Legitimacy: 100%
I ask once again: What legitimate objection can anyone provide arguing against Choice #2?
CANADIANS DEMAND AND DESERVE ANOTHER ELECTION
Why not…
Go to the economists, the experts on our economy, and ask them if the PM is doing enough to stimulate our economy?
Doesn’t that make sense?
I haven’t seen ANY interviews…
In a clear sign that the Dion led coalition is operating like a well oiled machine, we have now Dion’s response……..
…………
Uhhhhhhh……they haven’t given us the response yet…..
….uhhhhhhh….. still waiting……..
“BTW – the latest talking points from the cabal of losers, Bob Rae, Dawn Black, Keith Martin and Peter Julian all said on MDL that the uproar is part of the Tory machine – a fan out of calls and letters spouting the same phrases and wording and that ordinary people love the idea of a coalition”
Just another fine example of the fact, that in the minds of the Liberal and socialist hierarchy, ordinary Canadians are unable to think for themselves. Everytime that these elitists say something stupid (almost always), they insult the good, old taxpayer.
The PM is an economist: Why not ask him?
………….any minute now………
I’m currently watching the Liberal Party spokesman … errr CTV reporter, Craig Oliver. Paraphrasing: “Nothing Harper said was good. He didn’t even bother to show contrition to the group seeking an unprecedented purge of the Canadian government. What a terrible guy!”
By the way, are we 100% confident that Oliver and Lloyd Robertson are still actually alive and not actually computer generated figures?!? 🙂
http://watch.ctv.ca/news/clip118347#clip118347
The schedule on CBC says they should be showing an episode now called “Homie the Clown”…how appropriate! Where’s that tape again?
……..we’re told that Dion taped over his speech with the latest American Idol episode……….
Global’s Ottawa guy on PMSH’s address: (paraphrased but close enough) Harper’s whole case rests on the fact that he thinks the separatists are icky.
“The PM is an economist: Why not ask him?”
Because obviously he is biased.
I’d prefer neutral economists. This will appeal to Canadians, and help them make a better choice.
Is the government acting swift enough for the economy?
This is the cornerstone of the coalition’s argument. If their argument falls, so does the coalition.
Dion didn’t understand the question, again?
Wow, the hacks on the CTV analyzing PMSH’s speech are unreal.
Even Loyd himself sounds nutty. “The danger is, does the coalition look like the bad guys”… or something to that effect.
Now they’re slamming Dion for being late!
FANTASTIC!
For SURE, Dijon is taping his hastily edited REBUTTAL speech, while LOYDE THE DROID YAPS with his ctv cronies.
Dijons tape is LATE theys say.
Bullshit I say, the CTV fix is in!!
Wow, Fife is pissed that Dion couldn’t get the tape delivered on time! Said it bordered on incompetence and cast doubt on his ability to lead the country. Even Robertson seemed to agree…it might cut into the vital time devoted to eTalk.
Liberals and Dippers . . .ask yourself one question.
In the last election, if there had been the opportunity to vote for a “Liberal-NDP-Bloc” coalition, would it have changed the way you voted ?
Right.
Car 54, where are you?
(Dion’s response now 10 minutes overdue)
Meanwhile there are now 178,429 responses to the Coalition Poll.
http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?CANADIAN&1
Communist just joined them – Marijauna Party next in line to join these stooges.
Just like babies – they were about to get there candy ($1.95 per voter who voted for them!) taken away and now they won’t play anymore.
Sickos.
Car 54, where are you?
(Still waiting for Dion)
Meanwhile, the are now 178,907 responses to the Right to Vote poll.
Someone needs to put together a montage of Dion’s best screaming incohe-rants in the House for Youtube.
Well here’s one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdGL_fu9CVA
Quote:”The whole principle of our democracy, is, the government is supposed to be able to face the House of Commons, on a vote. This government now, has a deliberate policy of avoiding the vote. This is a violation of the fundamental principles of our constitutional democracy.
Stephen Harper May 03/ 2005
Wait,what did Dion say?
It’s not “iberia” but L Beria, as in:
…and obviously a troll. Edward Teach
And I doubt that you have
peach fuzz on your pubes, let alone a black beard.
