1. What would be interesting to know is how many of these experts have worked in fields beyond AGW. Most of the researchers look quite young. Anyone that has worked in an industrial setting much less complex than the earth’s climate would know that not every variable can be reliably calculated. So if a closed system designed by people can throw you the occasional curve ball then how is humanly possible to accurately predict an exponentially more complex system. I am sure that scientific understanding is growing but it is not close to the stage to be giving advice that will affect the entire economy and lower billions of peoples standard of living.

2. Not to mention” “The end of Politics as we know it”. However, I don’t think any of these three will ever end, as long as the Sun continues to rise and set. My Mother, would disagree.

3. so some one is saying WE don’t know??????
how can that be, didn’t algore get an award or something because he knew?????

4. BTW – CTV News was promoting the AGM … We’ve got to do something about it theme this morning.
The Ice Shelf of Antarctica is sloughing ….

5. Look at y2k, didn’t happen. Where is the acid rain they were screaming about a few short years ago. Now it’s CO2, a gas that is needed for plant life. Do they want us to stop exhaling. They have been pumping fear at us for so long it’s become monotonous. Who pays attention anymore.
The economy will go to s%*t if the three clowns get charge of the government. Just look at Laytons’ wants alone. He would bankrupt the small business, manufacturing and chase them all out of the country. The only ones that would be happy are those sitting on welfare or close to it. What would our personal finances look like when they finish increasing our taxes. there are 32 million of us – whats the stats of citizens actually paying all the taxes. And then – of course – Kyoto would be back on the table and to pay for that we would have a carbon tax, that’s what that was all about. The BQ just go on and on about more handouts, and to keep them happy the other two clowns will give in. That would be the end of the world in my estimation.
Don’t know if a blockade would work but we are all smart enough and have been here awhile and know what truth is, to put our heads together and really hurt that bloodless coup if it should take place. We certainly don’t have to turn the other cheek.

6.
Those who express the greatest certainty in such areas should be considered the least reliable sources of information. Anyone who understands complexity will admit that the weather and the economy are two of the most complex structures we know. To assume we understand how they work because we have elegant computer models that sometimes predict parts of the past with a fair degree of accuracy is foolhardy and to make major changes in how we live because such computer models suggest dire outcomes is the height of irresponsibility.
“Those who express the greatest certainty in such areas should be considered the least reliable sources of information.”
That is a scientific fact!.. Those that have played a role in the advanced design, ring of fire, know to go for the GUT of those over confident members. It’s a slam dunk … You must always have a healthy fear that your pet theory may fail or you are useless.
