The Columbus Dispatch reports that at least one culprit has emerged from the misuse of public information to attack Joe Wurzelbacher — and to no one’s surprise, she’s a Democrat and a big Barack Obama supporter. […] Those records are supposed to be checked only when some probable cause exists to do so. What was Jones-Kelley’s probable cause? She claims that sudden public notoriety is enough to generate an investigation of someone’s status.

  1. That the Obama camp does not like criticism is obvious now, as Joe The Plumber and TV stations are discovering, just wait to see what happens if he gets to be POTUS.
    Canada historically trails the United States trends by about ten years.
    However the Obama media love-in is way behind the Trudeau mania that suckered Canadians decades earlier.
    While a race factor is thrown into the current American mix, the Marxist ideology behind the Obama rhetoric is exactly the same as Trudeau’s “just society” – communist ideology or state wealth redistribution is the end game.
    Be warned America, take note of Canada’s experience with Marxism, because that is what Obama offers as “change”.

  4. Clearly, no one in their right mind can possibly vote for Obama now… A minor bureaucrat in Ohio appointed by a Democrat governor looked into the background of Joe the Plumber — oh my God! It’s not like Sarah Palin and John McCain haven’t put this guy’s life on display as it is.

Given the years of relentless lefty obsession over the evil Bishitler opening mail, reading email and generally reading the thoughts of their detractors it is rather surprising (not really) that they would be so blase about an actual case where it has actually occurred. Perhaps the goals and political affiliation of the perpetrator are mitigating factors.

  7. How many threats etc has O’s campaign made to various media outlets. At least CTV aired the video of Dion screwing up.
    The fact that it is well known that O has threatened stations with licence cancellations should scare off everyone. If elected will he be ordering the networks what they can and can’t air.
    The good thing is that he will never get a second term, and the USA will just have four years to undo, not like the years Trudeau was allowed to turn us into a socialist country.
    After the love in by the media wonder how they will react when it is discovered he will throw them all under the bus, like his dying grandmother. Funny how she has disappeared from the news. What was his real reason for going to see her. What was he looking for that might hurt him, in all her trunks etc.

    If you want to export democracy to the rest of the world, you don’t do it by having rigged election results. That is not ‘hope and change’ but merely partisan chicanery.
    So the “greatest democracy in the world” wants to look like the electoral equivalent of Zimbabwe.

    The actions and events that have affected the financial system, combined with erosion in confidence in the electoral process, is making a mockery of this once great nation.

Unless the O’s zillion $$ TV add reverses the trends in the polls, McCain will be elected next week. The O needs a 6-7 point lead heading into the election next week to pull this off( perhaps only 3-4 concidering voter fraud), this is the conventional thinking accepted by Democrates and Republicans alike.

  26. Heard Joe the Plumber on radio.
    He wondered how it was possible that the whole world found out everything he did dating back to elementary school in less than a week, yet nobody really knows much about Obama’s background and his influences despite him running for presidency for the last 18 months.
    It was a pretty interesting question.
    Character assassination is an obvious tactic of the radical left and the utopian totalitarians.
    The American Dream used to be about equality of opportunity.
    Now, as the housing crisis has clearly demonstrated, it has become about equality of outcomes. Politicians on both sides almost insisted that the American Dream means the entitlement of all Americans to own a home.
    Opportunity? Outcomes?
    Free markets vs controlled markets.
    Individual choices vs doing the bidding of central planners.
    I am so glad Canada is finally, but slowly, emerging from their period of slavery.
    The US is 40 years behind and Obama is their Trudeau.

  27. Indiana Homez, I don’t think that McCain can pull it off. If the campaign were to run for a few more weeks, possibly, but I think we’re done.
    Obama and his team just have to sit back, they know that no attacks at this points will stick. Besides, the media doesn’t want to disturb the narrative arc of the story – and only after election will some uncomfortable questions be asked. That’s the way to sell the news, although I don’t believe this is a conscious strategy.

    I like the throw-away comment I heard the other day, to paraphrase, Obama takes a bunch of imspiring words, and throws them in the Cuisinart, and they come out a bit different every time.

Bang on there set you free, Joe is right about the differences in the “dirt machine” and the speed it is able to get out the information on his first high school date or how Governor Palin got a C+ in her elementary class on civics but can’t find squat about a presidential candidate. for a poor Hawaiian kid who ate Spam sandwiches three times a day to being able to afford Ivy League education without having a real job is truly an American dream so why is everything about the Great O wrapped in secrecy?

    I’m sticking with my prediction, I actually have a pool at work and I’m taking 4 TO 1 odds. I’m committed for about $20 so I guess by the end of the week it will be $30 down that will pay $120. Tax that Barak!
    I see a few scenarios that support your assessment:
    1 – High Democrat voter turnout; if the Dems get the vote out then I agree, but history doesn’t support this assumption.
    2 – Low turn-out for Republicans: This is the strategy the Dems and the MSM have been working on. If they can declare the O a winner before the vote, it may discourage McCain’s supporters from getting out to vote.
    3 – Voter fraud in swing states: Just like in the NHL playoffs, when the game is called it’s too late regardless of the fact Hull’s foot was in the crease.
    That being said, I’ll stick to my original analysis that I’ve bloviated about repeatedly.

    Funny comment re the playoffs and the crease. Exactly a Chicago-type strategy; whether it’s turning off security measures on credit cards (oh, we’ll give back the money later, just you wait and see), or phony voter registration – we’re seeing a “different brand” of politics played on a national scale. And good on McCain for keeping the high road (but it wouldn’t help him if he didn’t anyways). I still think Obama will likely win “dirty” – but then the deal is done, no second chances for McCain.
    I’ll stop now, it’s lonely being a conservative these days, hence my proclivity to prolixity!

  33. The Obama campaign, from what I have read on various blogs on some of the shady practices, only one thing is apparent. Someone is desperate for power, not Obama for I think he is the front man, a puppet.
    Someone has found in Obama the perfect product to be marketed to the masses. Someone behind the scenes is pulling the strings and levers.
    The intimidation of radio and TV stations, the brushing off of inquiries of his background and relationships just smacks of something not right.
    Either Obama is smarter than we give him credit for, or he is a con man taking his game to a higher level.
    In any case, this does not bode well.

  36. Joe the plumber’s case here raises an interesting point. How screwed would Joe be if there was 24/7 CCTV coverage of his front door?
    Pictures of Joe in his bathrobe taking out the garbage. Pictures of every damn person who visited Joe for the last 6 months. Pictures of Joe’s girlfriend(s) if he was unlucky enough to have them over.
    This is the case in much of London England, and has been proposed by various do-gooder types for Canadian cities. No cameras? No problem, how about the complete list of every email and web page Joe visited for the last 6 months? Coming to a government office near you real soon.
    Here’s the deal, my friends. If information exists within government control, it WILL be used against anyone who comes to the attention of government types. Maybe illegally as in this case, but used all the same. So you either control government, or it will most assuredly control you.
