13. NYT hoping for a bailout from the South? It’s not going to happen. Years ago I saw a hand lettered banner at a crop duster’s office in southern Georgia (USA): “A yankee knows as much about Southern culture as a pig knows about God’s plan of Salvation.” LOL!

17. BTW, the liberal Anchorage Daily News that’s always been anti-Palin just endorsed Obama while dissing Palin. Their stock has dropped from $73/share to $2/share over the past 2 years, IIRC.
