A good debate, Biden was competetent, but boring, too detail obsessed, and stumbled badly on the same sex “marriage” comment, among others. Palin in a walk, despite some stumbles and too many mentions of the word “maverick”.
And I don’t know if I’ll be the first to say it, but I will – Gwen Ifill performed admirably as moderator.
Oh… and the reason I skipped the Canadian debate? Simple. I watched, or tried to, the French language one. And my impression after that is that the broadcast consortium are rock hard stupid.

Wow they are all piling on Harper for “doing nothing” when our economy is running a surplus. The four dweebs have used the economy to play to the Ontario and Quebec manufacturing sector. What do they propose? Are we going to “economically stabilize” out manufacturing sector? And at what cost?

I love this whole Teflon Harper routine. The other four come across as spoiled brats, and then Harper steps in and gives a smooth, smiling, calm, Prime Ministerial answer. And he’s answering to the viewer at home, not the children sitting opposite.
Duceppe is the best! 60% of the time he’s putting the emphasis on the wrong syllable. It’s fun to listen to.
Layton is communist; no serious people care about what he says.
