For up-to-date info, I’d suggest The Corner. I’m sure that Glenn Reynolds will have something going on too.
Throw any suggestions for Debate links into the comments. Remember, one beer per “uh…uh” from Obama.
Me? I’m watching football. Go Bombers!

In the first 10 minutes, I just saw the election lost for McCain. Neither one of them said anything of substance, but in a side-by-side setting, McCain looks and (especially) sounds like an old man, which is a powerful impression.
It’ll take something major to turn the tides, and unfortunately I don’t see that happening. Brace yourselves!
Okay, I just tuned in (halftime, Bombers up 14-9).
Good questions, really boring answers.
CNN has a really cool voter graph to judge the reactions by Rep/Dem/Ind’s.
Moderator is doing a really good job. He basically just threw his question back at the two, Answer the question.
Ooh, interesting, Obama mentions Bush and the Indies graph tanks.
Both are crap.
Obama wants to increase troop deployment in Afghanistan and possibly chase al-Qaeda into “Pokistan.” McCain should demand he lay out his exit strategy.
I hate to admit it – but I think it was either a tie or a slight win for Obama. There were several occassions where Obama was clearly off-balance and McCain could have pounced. But, he didn’t.
It was obvious that Obama was much better prepared than I would have otherwise expected of the guy-who-can’t-speak-without-a-teleprompter. But the problem was that it seemed both of them had memorized rehearsed, fall-back lines and they both fell back on them too much. That’s unfortunate because McCain is a much better off-the-cuff speaker. I guess his handlers advised him not to go off script.
McCain’s the better choice. I just don’t think that he made that clear tonight.
Oh and there were very few “uh…uhs” tonight (if any) from Obama – a clear sign that he was better prepared.
One beer per “uh…uh” from Obama? You’ll have us passed out on the floor in ten minutes!
I saw an older man with a world of indisputable experience and knowledge, and it showed, and a young liberal big spender who has done nothing really, who opposed the sound wisdom of McCain. Good luck America with your choice.
Hey everyone, just wondering how Palin’s been doing? Any word yet on the mock debates or mock press conferences? She’s all ready for the debate, I assume? How’d that Katie Couric interview go?
She’s just so swell, I’m sure that everyone on Townhall.com has nothing but glowing reviews of her, and certainly NO ONE there has actually come right out and asked her to give it up already.
McCain is sure to win with her on the ticket.
Obama: “Invest, Invest”;
What I heard: “Spend, Spend”;
Reality: “Tax, Tax”;
What his supporters hear: “Them Rich Guys Will Pay, Pay, and Pay”.
People watch Katie Couric? How embarrassing.
Typo correction:
“DID people watch Katie Couric? How embarrassing.”
Indeed. Indeed.
If you’re not watching the trainwreck, you’re really missing out on the schadenfreude.
No “correction” required: you admitted you watch Katie Couric and that you hold her in high regard. How embarrassing.
Well, I can see that reading comprehension is not your ‘thing’.
I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about Katie Couric. I was talking entirely about how abysmally Sarah Palin did in the interview.
I’ve said it before and I’ll repeat it: A blended mochaccino of Republican talking points, it reminds one of Miss South Carolina. Very, very cringe worthy.
That having been said: Go Sarah! You go girl! I hope McCain keeps her for the whole run. With her on the ticket, he doesn’t stand a chance.
This video sorta puts it all into perspective;

Thus fueling the already-existing MSM’s “suspicions” that the Republicans are nasty, evil racists anxious to beat up on a popular minority-member hopeful?
I wonder if the moderation would have been different if it was McNeil (a Canuck) rather than Lehrer.
Based on the comments here, I’m wondering if I saw a different debate, or something. I thought McCain was really solid, never wavered, and was surprisingly strong – calm, solid and unflappable.
Obama appeared rattled, a bit, and he showed personal characteristics, facially and in his tone, that were quite revealing. I thought his facade was broken down a bit by McCain’s calm offense and certainty.
I am biased but even after trying to adjust for that, I thought Obama came across a bit in the direction of an amateur and a dissembler. McCain came across as way more presidential and a lot more solid on the issues.
A bit of a blowout, in my perception. I’m curious to see what the general reaction of pundits and analysts will be.
