  1. Nothing new here. Many of us already realized Obama has a messiah complex. Specifically, his speech after he’d wrapped up his nomination during the primary race, the one where now that he’s nominated, the oceans will stop rising, and the earth will begin to heal, was pretty telling in this regard.

  4. The messiah has arrived, the worlds savior, a beacon of change, good, maybe you can change a few things in the black community before you start on ours. Change the number of murders in your community, change the number of absent Dad’s in your community, change the number of unemployed in your community, change the numbers in jail in your community, change something you void. You didn’t do or change anything worthwhile as a senator, why would that change as President? I wouldn’t vote for you simply because I think you are nothing but a party sponsored socialist wind bag and a street corner hustler in the same line as other street hustlers, Jesse Jackson, Marion Barry and that whole lot. I think the only change you would accomplish is the amount in your pocket.
    My first pick as the Republican Presidential nominee by a wide margin was Colin Powell, can you imagine him with Sarah as a running Mate?

    I think that in today’s age PET would never have been elected. That man could and would stand in front of the people and parliament and turn one question into a 3 hour answer and never use a word in it. Now with computers, we can actually retrieve said data and we do not have to rely on the pandering media.

    Well, his campaign is very tightly scripted by David Axelrod, that’s why. Those associations wouldn’t help him get elected. The question is, will John McCain name them? I hope so.
    Two great books I’d recommend are “The Case Against Barack Obama” by Fredosso (which I’m reading now) and “Obamanation” by Jerome Corsi. Lots of references to that stuff in both. Another great one is “A Bound Man” by Shelby Steele.

I don’t know… given as I am to introspection, I took his words to mean that unless he strove himself to improve the lives of those in various benighted black communities, he would never save himself from the bitterness of looking back at his life at its end and saying ‘I didn’t do anything of worth.’
    On the other hand, he did make the scale of his salvation vast: he won’t be redeemed unless the whole country sacrifices as he sees fit.
    What did he do that needs so much redemption?

    Oh LORD and Saints preserve us.
    Last time I checked the first amendment suggested:
    “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
    Thus our prospective POTUS says that his individual salvation depends upon working out the collective salvation for the COUNTRY.
    I think the Christian tradition is firmly rooted in the idea that Jesus Christ is the free GIFT of salvation.
    Salvation is a pretty broad topic: are we talking the Jewish, Christian or Muslim version?
    Since when is one’s fate tied to any other’s fate?
    This sounds somewhat fatalistic.
    Fatalism generally refers to several of the following ideas:
    1. That free will does not exist, meaning therefore that history has progressed in the only manner possible. [1] This belief is very similar to determinism.
    2. That actions are free, but nevertheless work toward an inevitable end. [2] This belief is very similar to compatibilist predestination.
    3. That acceptance is appropriate, rather than resistance against inevitability. This belief is very similar to defeatism.
    The orthodox view on salvation is that it is a free gift which one may accept or reject based on a free will choice. Fate doesn’t have much to do with it. One may as well consult horoscopes, following yonder star. I think Obama needs a rethink on this issue.

  23. Most of you have probably seen the video of the Rev. Jeremiah T. Wrights’ ranting about “Liberation Theology”, which in reality is secular humanism thinly, cynically & derisively disguised as Christianity.
    With regard to Obama, I can’t help but wonder if he is he so completely deluded that he truly does believe that he is a modern day messiah, or is he diabolically trying to portray himself in such a way, while he clearly knows better?.
    I have often wondered this same thing about some of history’s most notorious cult leaders.
    Also, Why does the left always scream the mantra of ‘separation of church & state’ while giving idiocy like this a thumbs up?

  28. Obama has no mysticism about him, he’s pretty readable…even though he talks in code. Essentially he’s a communist who will obscure that by riding in on a racial equity non sequitur.
    America has it’s first Marxist Pres candidate so depending on how you feel about fossilized collectivist egalitarian statism and Trotskyite global “collective” ideals tarted up as “change” and “hope”, it’s either a new day or a dark day for the Republic.

    There is a little bit of irony intended when she calls herself a hockey mom, when she is actually the chief executive of a state with 15000 employees and an 11 billion dollar budget. So if you read it without irony, it will be hard to understand.
