  2. i find it interesting that under total deaths they qualify the numbers by saying high estimates. i have read estimates of deaths under stalin of up to 50 million not 20 million. who the hell would know. dictators and other totalitarian societies tend to try and hide the numbers of people they kill.

  7. Jamie Glazov, amongst other reputable historians, has estimated that Muslims have murdered 270,000,000 since the birth of Islam.
    Compared to that, Stalin and Mao are pikers.

    Maybe you are. Seems that could certainly be the case. Would not be surprised if in Irwin Daisy World there never was such a thing as the Spanish Inquisition, where there never were Jewish pograms in Europe, where the Roman Catholic Church never order the systematic murder of Protestants throughout Europe especially during the Counter-Reformation, where Roman Catholics were never systematically murdered by Protestants in Great Britain and the Germanic stats as they left the Church during the Reformation years, where Christians were never systematically murdering Muslims in the Balkans even in the last decades (they even had the gall to put crosses and Mary’s on their rifles), where Roman Catholics and Protestants never murdered each other in Ireland, etc. etc. etc.
    And that is being generous too, by not automatically counting all of the murders conducted by heads of state who were also considered heads of church or divinely appointed (like England or Imperial Russia) or who had the tacit active support of the church (such as with Mussolini).
    I’d love to live in your peaceful world, Irwin, where Christians only do good things in the name of their lord. But the blindfold might get in the way. Besides, I prefer to live in the reality-based world, warts and unfortunate and tragic history included.

    More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined. Oh, and More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland. Just two facts, would you like more?
    Now, what was that comparison to 270,000,000 murdered by Muslims, supported by Islamic ideology and their prophets life example, whom they are commanded to emulate?
    Regardless of statistics your argument is moot. The NT and Christ’s life example is not foundationally violent. It does not support violence, it supports the opposite.
