Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

I once had a John Deere combine like that. I`d still have that John Deere, if it wasn`t for the CWB!!
In 07-08:
#1CWRS(spring wheat) 13.5 latest (last) CWB PRO = $370/tonne
lowest CWB offering price = $298.80
highest CWB offering price = $889.95
midpoint = $591.15
average = $468.66
Farmers got $370
average was $468
Why does the board need the legal right to all of Western Canada’s wheat to get a below average price?
somebody has to pay for those stress bonuses… or is that the CBC?
Every politician will stand in front of microphone and state they will not tolerate discrimination, yet they support abominations like the CWB where ONLY western grain farmers are compelled to use the CWB.
Free the west! Let western farmers operate freely and let CWB wither away.
The CWB is withering away. Much acerage is being seeded to Pulse crops which are not controlled by the cwb.
If wheat and malting barley were non board you might see more millers,malsters and pasta plants open up but what business wants to deal with cwb.
Carbon tax in BC will add cost to shipping wheat to Prince Rupert/Vancouver ports.
CWB must be getting nervous as they are providing new incentives and programs for the producer that should have been there all along and that cost the producer in lost revenue over the years.
The shift to pulse crops away from the Board grains is the farmer producer telling the CWB to FO. Should this trend continue the CWB will be in trouble.
Interesting spin on the Politics ….. assuming that the LIberals could win an election …. who says that either Goodale or Dion will have seats?
Interesting also that they touch on the activities of ADM and Cargil …. poo poo they say?
These multi nationals would be “hurt” by backing the independent marketing supporters?
Bah……….
FIRE. THEM. ALL.
“It (the study) was commissioned by the Province of Alberta, so we all know…”
For some odd reason, she never finished that sentence.
I get tired of Wheat Bored stories!! Let the farmers run it on their own. We’ve got more important things to do, like, golf!!
I think the CWB should be put in charge of selling Manitoba’s water to Eastern Canada, to screw the US and ensure that Manitoba remains a have not province with no hope of catching oil/potash/Grey Cup rich Saskatchewan.
I hope the NoDamnProgress party stays in power in Manitoba for another 100 years.
Go Bombers!
