  1. Could someone kindly explain the “racist” parts? Was the made for TV series “Roots” racist? Must have been.
    I guess I just don’t get this “Newthink”.

  3. As a kid watching these cartoons, I never thought, in this cartoons’ case, that it was racist or exploitive. I saw that the characters were making fun or taunting Yosemite Sam, an ignoramus.
    The old B&W Popeye cartoons, if you listened to Popeye’s mutterings about Olive Oyl, the feminists would be outraged.
    But back to Bugs and the gang, the other day I was listening to Rossini’s Barber of Seville and Figaro thru my iPod (great gadgets they are) and the guys at work, especially the Filipinos, couldn’t figure out why I was laughing so much. All I could think about was that singing frog in the tin box!
