In it’s Q2 financial report, the world’s number one water-wings maker, said today that IPCC orders for water-wings are down:
Scientists from the Dhaka-based Center for Environment and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) have studied 32 years of satellite images and say Bangladesh’s landmass has increased by 20 square kilometres (eight square miles) annually.
Maminul Haque Sarker, head of the department at the government-owned centre that looks at boundary changes, told AFP sediment which travelled down the big Himalayan rivers — the Ganges and the Brahmaputra — had caused the landmass to increase.
In the meantime, green-industry analysts have found a new source for ice cubes, which they claim may help ease the burden of Bangladeshis as they adapt to climate change:
A fortnight ago a Norwegian research ship, Lance, and a Swedish ship, MV Stockholm, got stuck in the ice in the area and needed to be freed by the Norwegian Coast Guard.
While one ice floe does not amount to a mini-ice age, the dramatic evidence runs counter to the mantra of the climate warming cult which has claimed the Arctic is becoming progressively free of ice.
Other sources confirm that the supply of ice cubes for Bangladeshis may in fact, not be as limited as earlier thought … click.

Of course, as Bangla land mass increases, it displaces something, which in this case is water, resulting in a sea level rise.
Did anyone else see that soppy shill for climate change bemoaning the demise of the polar bear on TV last night? Pathetic, that ad set me off, my wife said to me if you don’t like it change the channel, and you don’t have to use that kind of language. That one got to me.
I was reading somewhere the other day about a massive piece of arctic ice field that had broken off. The article pointed out that this was the largest chunk since way back in 2005. Three whole years ago….. Run,flap your arms, screech, drink screech, add another layer of tinfoil, the end is nigh.
That piece of ice was 20 square Km or about 4 1/2 by 4 1/2 kliks …. on the scale of the arctic ice shelf like losing a hang nail…
BTW – Any word from Lewis “Numbnutz” Pugh …. ??
Re “losing” a bit of ice shelf: isn’t that what ice shelves do? They spread over the water until they break off. It is not clear to me that this process would occur faster or more frequently during warmer weather. Perhaps it is a sign of global cooling.
ice shelves move out when something is added to the interior. ice is a plastic flow material, like toothpaste it needs to be squeezed out to move. the interior ice is likely thicker.
the MSM is thick as well. would sure hate to be a grad in journalism school this year. graduate with only your ego.
I have a novel idea. Instead of pointing out all of the lies and mistakes the AGW panic buttons have made, let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and point out where they have been correct………what’s that sound I hear………oh ya…..nothing, because the f@#$ing idiots have been wrong, wrong, wrong.
So, added to the list of DDT, nuclear power, incineration and recycling we now have AGW.
What is it going to take to shut these leftarded jerk offs up?
Geeeeez!
Meanwhile we see stories like these:
“Climate change, melting Arctic clearly linked: study”
3w.nationalpost.com/news/story.html?id=695981
“Record heat forces closure of Arctic park”
3w.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20080801.wcanpark0801/BNStory/National/home
The only thing that is clear is that AGW is debatable.
at least they reported it as 20 sq.km . not 8000 tennis courts or 300000000 decks of cards or 1 billlllion postage stamps.
the MSM is useless when it comes to math or relative size. too many carlton journalist school grads to be taken seriously.
Does anyone happen to know the approximate date that the arctic ice is usually at its lowest level. Would it be around the beginning of September?
Yes – early September, and by October it’s growing very quickly.
Slabs of the Ellesmere ice shelf have been observed drifting away ever since the first RCAF reconnaissance flights started noting them in the late 1940s. One monster, dubbed Ice Island T-3 was probably calved in 1948, drifted around in the ice pack for a couple of decades, passing close to Siberia, then off the coast of Alaska, back past northern Ellesmere, and finally disappeared into the Atlantic east of Greenland. It was so big that the U.S. maintained an airstrip and a manned weather station on it for several years.
Zog – nice piece of background that the MSM will never put alongside one of it’s chicken little reports.
kingstonlad. the only thing that will shut these jerks up is more dirt, piled very high, on top of them. millions of years from now or sooner the earth will be a cold, dead, dry rock. we will not be able to prevent it from happening. we also will not be alive. duh.
