  2. Do you find yourself shaking your head more than you used to? Do recent events in Vancouver seems surreal? Do you feel like the Lib-culture attacks on our fundamental rights in the last 40 years have left our cultural heritage floundering at sea, like an old fishing boat and peril in a storm, in the black of night?

    I don’t know about the rest of the federal ridings, but in my riding (Oshawa-Whitby), the Federal Finance Minister Jim Flaherty hosts a Canada Day celebration and makes himself available as he walks about.
    If there are no other such political shindigs going on in nearby ridings, I invite all Ontario-based SDA-ers to join me at the Canada Day celebration with Jim Flaherty. North campus of Durham College (or UOIT, whatever it’s called now). SW corner of Simcoe Street North and Conlin Road.
    Apart from the opportunity to corner Mr. Flaherty, it is a nice family outing…with a few vintage WWII vehicles on display.

    A really good item – the messages are becoming stronger and more pointed. The live blogging by both Ezra & Andrew along with “now time” comments on both blogs have taken this issue to a whole new level. Combined with the ON fiasco in March (Czarina Hall, et al, et al) the entire issue may well end up on the front burner where it belongs.
    The MSM partners that do not get behind this now are going to get left behind and be publicly chastised/hopefully humiliated as was Habib by Ezra at the hearing.
    Next Move – Gordon Campbell. What are you and your people going to do about this ludicrous BC HRT that has been allowed to morph into this despicable entity that operates unto themselves and in a manner that has contributed to the Canadian justice system becoming an international joke?
    As Ezra says: Fire.Them.All. Expunge the BC HRT now. Your government created it – your government can take it down.

    Increasing quality of life, through incomes and capital appreciation have generally made boomers an affluent lot – indulgent with themselves, and particularly their children: who any parent wants to have it ‘better than they’.
    As the boomers indulge their kids, and the ‘kids’ delay onset of getting jobs (still in school, or maybe a false start earlier on). Remaining nested is easy, a ‘pull the plug, slice the pie’ ideal can set in. (That reference is to an offspring’s fantasy – where one calculates the net worth of their parents.)
    Some slackers can rationalize straight through to the inheritance. I think these 30 year olds are just a reflection of exactly how ‘wealthy’ and abundant our society is.

  35. Proposed environmental levy in the RM of Corman Park. $6150 for new development. This is an unfair tax, it is being levied only against new development, existing development is exempt. They are trying to sneak it through without anybody noticing, proposed May 21, final reading is Monday June 9.
    If this angers you, be at the council meeting on Monday. If you did not know about it, find out. The reeve of Corman Park must go!

    I, too, am impressed with the lack of partisan hackery at the G&M. This transcends (or should transcend) party lines. This is our free speech here, and it seems people are getting it.
    Although, to be fair, I haven’t seen any posts yet from the resident shrill leftists over there. Time iwll tell if they crawl out of their holes to vomit some Big Brother support.

    According to an auto industry representative there have been 20,000 NET NEW JOBS added to auto manufacturing in Canada in the last 10 years!!!!
    So, what is the fuss about???? Many of these jobs are NON UNION – which means Buzz Hargrove and friends don’t get a cut of their wages.
    Don’t believe ANYTHING you read in the scare mongering media in this country. Whenever there is a headline be sure there is a special interest group with vested interest pulling the strings to mislead us.

    These ghouls will do you in a heartbeat if it makes their bureacracies bigger, budgets fatter, or status grow. That’s why they don’t want discourse – nor an open flow of information – so that reasonable people, presented with the ENTIRE discourse, can form an opinion for themselves.
    In Prentice’s bubble, you aren’t worthy of that luxury.

    Does anybody have the sources about Chretien’s Liberals pretty well suing ANY MEDIA reporter who dared to not suck up to them for 13 long years.
    How many reporters were sued? Well, David Frum for one could no longer write or broadcast for any Canadian media outlet because of Liberal lawsuits. I recall on his American based blog how he ran through a list of Canadian reporters and media the Liberals had sued to shut them up.
    And we wondered why there were pretty well no investigations or reports for 13 long years of Liberal corruption? All of the media were forced by Liberal lawyers to live in the No Tell Hotel.
    Does anybody have the source for this long long list of media who were sued by the Chretien Liberals?

  49. WE NEED TO EXPOSE THE CHUCK CADMAN STORY. Here’s my two bits worth. Does anyone really believe that the CBC played this tape from their Toronto Studios where some of the world’s most sofisticated electronic audio equipment is in use, and that no one knew that the tape had been tampered with?? When you break down an audio track, you can tell right away when the continuity has been broke. Input on this would be great!!
